Got this year's black ponte straight leg pants to replace and update Eileen ponte pants I've had for more than 10 years -- seriously! These pants go from professional to casual & are perfectly packable, too. Got matching jacket for suiting option.

The perfect black pants
I’ve finally found the perfect black pants! The straight cut is classic and suits my build (petite, athletic pear). The flex ponte is substantial and forgiving, with plenty of stretch for comfort. These pants can easily be dressed up or down - equally great with an untucked silk shirt or tucked denim button down. I’m just shy of 5’4” (with short legs) and the petite small is perfect with low-heeled boots.

Very unflattering for petites
These pants are way too big in petites: hugely wide hips have no relation to my body. The extra-thin wide cropped ponte pants, by contrast, are perfect because they are slim in the torso and hips, but wide below.
