The EF I love
This dress represents the EF elegance I love and sorely miss. The woven fabric is delicate, luscious and the drape beautiful. Thank you EF.
I have worn EF clothing since the 1990s. Somewhere around 2010 I noticed a subtle shift whereby I began to find less and less items of interest: EF began to offer clothes that looked more common and less differentiated from EF’s distinctive styles, fine fabrics and finishing work I was familiar with and adored.
In the earlier years when new arrivals came in, I invariably found multiple items I wanted to own. Now, it’s more of a rarity. I realize that there are multiple marketing drivers that dictate and cross-pollinate in the fashion industry. For one, EF is actively addressing the environmental pressures on fabric processing and I do appreciate this effort. But in my view, the elegance of EF I have always known has somehow gotten lost. This maybe—for one—a generational shift identified by EF as younger buyers wanting brighter fabric colors and less delicate fabrics that require greater care. Whatever underlie the issues and drivers that has shaped EF into the present model, I just want to say that this dress captures everything in EF style and fabrics I so much love and sorely miss.

Loved this dress the moment I put it on!
Loved this dress the moment I put it on, maybe before! Textured silk lends an interesting dimensionality to the silk - caressing on the skin and it doesn't wrinkle. Looks even better in person than on the screen. Shape is most forgiving and drapes in an attractive way. Appreciated the pockets (iPhone fit comfortably without creating unattractive slump in a silk shape.) Feels and looks elegant, but my first wearing was to an afternoon outside wine friends party - got compliments from men and women. Several women said I should forgive them for getting one themselves. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately worth the price!
This dress is beautiful. I preordered it and was eagerly awaiting its arrival and was not disappointed. Made from silk, it is flowy and extremely lightweight. Despite it being delicate silk, it feels very well made and like an item that will last. I think this will be a perfect dress for spring-fall! The midnight blue textured fabric is lovely! I am 5’3 and this hits right at my ankle. Highly recommend, especially if you have a coupon code to help lower the cost.
