Plissé is all woven
I don’t know what they are talking about. The fiber this garment is made of is an expensive brand name of man-made rayon. ‘Plissé’ just means how the fiber is processed by being pressed into tiny pleats after being woven into the textile. It is not knit so it is woven. Any fiber (cotton, silk, polyester) can be pressed into plissé (pleats) after being woven but no knit can. Knitting and weaving are the two main methods for creating textiles that are then processed into garments. So, to say something is ‘woven plissé’ is like saying something is a lettered book — kind of redundant and nonsensical. It shows a basic lack of knowledge about cloth and by the folks at EF I expect to know better. Just because they have lifted the word from French does not mean it is mysterious or exotic, and rayon is anything but.

Beautiful Transition apiece
This is a lovely transitional piece for late summer to early fall. The color is rich and the fabric is gorgeous. The dress fits beautifully and is very flattering. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Beautifully understated with amazing fluidity
I bought this today at the Pasadena Ca store. I was helped by many, but especially Bernadette. I did something I almost never do -- I wore it this evening to a celebration dinner with my family. I have can't remember when I've felt so special, beautiful, cool (temp) and elegant. I wish it came in other colors but it is perfect. I love the color, the v neck, the pockets, and the sway. I am 70 and wore a short necklace and a long one and received many compliments. The dress even permitted a leg brace (for my upcoming knee surgery) and no one could tell! Thank you EF, Pasadena, and Bernadette.

What a Beauty
Last summer, I wore one of the EF plisse sets everywhere (a boxy top and some wide-leg pants), and so I was extremely excited to see new plisse offerings this season. The fabric is travel-friendly and can easily be dressed up or down. This dark brown dress in plisse is incredibly flattering. You can't see it in the pictures of the model, but the waist nips in ever so slightly, giving nice definition to one's shape. There's nothing sack-like about it! Plus, the v-neck is so much more elegant than a crew neck. The deep brown has nice black undertones, which means you could wear black accessories with the dress (although I'm going to pair it with a metallic purse and sandals). I'm 5'4" and am an XS or S, depending on the piece. I went with the S, and it fits perfectly, hitting me just below the calf. I feel like a 90s cool-girl in this dress: relaxed and effortless.
