Unusual fit
For the first time in many years an Eileen Fisher piece let me down. I usually wear large in pants but this time I ordered medium as I have lost a few pounds. To my surprise they are much too large even in medium!! On top of being very large they are also extremely long- much longer than any of my other Eileen pants. I now have to pay for alterations which I have never before had to do!

The BEST pant there IS. A classic winner!
These are great pants with only one problem which for many would not be a problem. That is that the hem is above the shoe by 2-3 inches, so for me I want them longer. If they were longer, then these are the perfect pant. The knees don't easily stretch out and the fabric holds its ironed look. They look good for all occasions. I have had at least 20 of these in the last 25 years. Then my house burned in the Palisades fire and I was down to the single pair I was wearing. So I had to re supply, but these are frequently not available, which has been a problem. But I throw on a blazer and a shirt and look great. Or just a Tee and look great too. They are classic. And the fabric earns a big star. And the waist is elastic, so a big eat everything trip still works with no ugly safety pins.

Classic versatile go-to pants with pockets
One word: Pockets! In my favorite EF fabric that drapes beautifully and travels well. Goes from office to plane to farmer’s market and has become my favorite go-to pants, which says a lot, as I’ve been an EF devotee since their flagship SoHo store opened in the 80’s. My biggest gripe about women’s fashion has been lack of pockets, so I encourage more of this design.

I had purchased this type pant before but unfortunately I lost them. It was the perfect pant in that the fabric weight, fit and length was on point. These didn't come close...

Petite pants very long
They fit nicely EXCEPT they are very long. I ordered Petite and thought they would be short. I am 5'2" and do not know how these could even be considered to be petite. They are probably 6" longer than any petite I have purchase before. The biggest issue with these type of pants that are too long is I will need a tailor to hem them.
