flattering and comfortable
These lantern pants are gorgeous, comfortable, and flattering! I bought the clove and now am looking to add either the Fog or the darker blue. Both are beautiful. Although I usually buy a size M, I sized up to an L based on a previous purchase, and that I have a larger tummy area and thin (ish) thighs. The size L fits nicely.

Beautiful fog
I am 140, 5’6”, I got a size small in fog. The fabric is so smooth and soft. Fog is one shade darker than geyser and one drop bluer. Definitely has a baggy fit around.the waist and thighs. I keep having the sensation that it is going to slip off around my waist. If it stretches out at all during the day, it may look sloppy. So I am going to order the extra small to see if that makes a difference. This is ankle length on me.

Would prefer this color in wide leg cropped
Hope eclipse clover, branch will be offered in wide leg cropped pants. The lanterns and trousers are not a good fit for me. :(

Lantern is my favorite fit ever
I'm petite, short waisted, and pear shaped, and finding pants that fit has been a lifelong challenge that, when I was young, reduced me to tears and body shaming. The lantern fit in all the fabrics is amazing for me. I'm 5'2" 135 lbs and I can't believe I'm just now stumbling onto this brand because a friend who is tall and lean and lithe (an extremely different body than mine) suggested I try some pants. I got these in the geyser color (grayish blue) and am looking forward to wearing them this spring/summer. This particular linen is light as air, almost weightless, and will be perfect in the heat. Can't say enough good things. I will have to be careful not to buy more than I can actually wear!

Thighs wore out FAST
I Love EF linen lantern pants and was excited to get these in the orange/red colour. so cute and they look really fresh with a white T or tank.
The linen is exceedingly soft, and feel like a dream. But maybe the softness is the problem but I wore these pants no more than 6 times and the inner thighs have pilled very badly and look almost worn through. 6 wears!!!! Now, i do have chubby thighs, but 6 wears?
My other EF linen pants from previous seasons are a little stiffer and have held up much, much better.

Not for my body type
Another reviewer said it -- these pants are "pear-shaped perfection." Unfortunately for those of us with larger waists and nonexistent hips and thighs, i.e., apple shapes, these pants are a disaster.

I hope the smaller size will fit...!
I ordered the Organic Linen Lantern Pant in my usual Eileen Fisher pants size, Large. Nearly all of the EF pants in my closet are size L. But, these pants in size L were much too large. In particular, the waistband was way too loose for me, and the pants would have fallen off over my hips. I was so disappointed that I had to return them. I'm not sure why some Eileen Fisher pants in size L are too large for me and others fit perfectly. It's puzzling.
The linen is exceptionally nice and the color, Flame, is beautiful. Flame is an orange-red, but it is subtle in its intensity and not overly bright. I loved the pants so much that I reordered in a size M. I really hope the smaller size will fit me and I look forward to wearing these cheerful pants. I have the flame linen jersey tank and the Whisper Silk Scarf (Flame is a brighter color in silk fabric than it is in linen), and also ordered the flame linen shirt. I rarely wear red colors, but this particular red is closer to a bright reddish rust because it is more orange than a true red. The Flame color will look wonderful with black, white, and magenta. Flame will look great with denim, too. I sure hope the size M pants will be the perfect fit. Please, please...

I have the linen lantern pant from last year and this linen lantern pant. It is a good design that I would like to buy again. Last year there were no pleats; this year the pants do have pleats. I prefer the design without pleats, don’t know why they were added.

Wish I had 4 pairs of these
Love the fit and feel of these pants. I wash on cold, dry about 15 mins, and hang to dry with 2 hangars, including a clamp hangar on the legs to relax most wrinkles.

Great fitting pants
I love these pants! They fit well and are flattering on my non-model figure. The fabric is light weight without being see through and the pockets lay flat in just the right spot. I also bought them in black and in the sea green color. You can’t go wrong in these.

Yummy color
I wanted this the moment I saw it online, bought the small without even trying them on. My mistake. The waist elastic seems stretched out, too loose to hold the pants up. My measurements are spot on for this size (28" waist/38" hip), but I probably would have done better with an extra-small. Bought it in the store and it's a drive from my home, so I might picked out the waistband and draw in the elastic so that I can wear them.

Pear-shaped Perfection
I have lantern pants in every color I can find when on sale. For us pear-shaped beauties they fit great, giving ample room where we need it but also show-casing the waist. Bring on more colors, Eileen! Oh. I always like it when reviewers list their size . I'm 5'3 165 and wear a M or PM.

Fantastic pants!!!
These pants are fantastic!! I'm 5'2" and 105 pounds and these pants are fantastic!! I'm really short waisted and I thought they might be too blousey at the waist, but not so. The proportion on me is great, especially with the linen jersey tank, or a slim fit tank that is tucked in. And sooo comfortable!!! The weight is great for hot weather, too. I'll be wearing these for YEARS!!!

Very Versatile Pants
These are some of the most versatile pants I own. They look equally great with a tank and flip flops as they do with a blazer. The slightly more streamlined leg opening because of the taper also makes them my go to pants for layering under dresses and tunics.

Perfect for the Summer
I have found my fit in the lantern pant - Petite Medium. I sometimes wear a S in EF pants, sometimes a M, but the Petite Medium fits me perfectly when in the lantern shape. I will get a lot of use out of them this summer and will try to pick up another pair if there is a sale (and if Petite hasn't sold out)

I wanted to love these
I loved the Stretch Jersey Knit Lantern pant but did not manage to snag a black pair in PS before they sold out. I was told they'd be back, and they are-but not in petites. So I thought I'd give these linen ones a shot. They're way too clowny and oversized. No drape at all. I just can't imagine anyone being able to pull them off. Please bring back the Stretch Jersey Knit Lantern pants in black for us petites!!!!! Thanks
