A staple
I love these boiled wool coats. After owning a shorter one for a few years I got this one in red and the red it a perfect true red. These coats are lightweight but warm, and an easy piece to throw on. I get a ton of use out of it!

Quality control issues.
I have bought many Eileen Fisher pieces. Usually I am very satisfied with my purchases. The pieces I own have given me many years of enjoyment. Never a problem with quality until now. I did return this piece because the quality didn’t match the price even though it was on sale.

Love this coat
This is my second boiled wool coat and I love them. The fabric is pretty and works in a broad range of temperatures, the style is dressy or casual, plus it has the all-important pockets.

The Perfect Topper
I am so pleased with the fit and light weight of this coat. I purchased a medium petite and it is perfect! The coat is light weight but also warm enough for our milder winter days. I will probably be purchasing this in another colour soon!

My first EF Icon Coat - an incredible classic!
I am an long time EF fan (15 years) that - believe it or not) has never bought an EF Icon Coat - 'til this Winter's Sale...the price on the Lightweight Boiled Wool Icon Coat was just too good to pass on...I ordered the black in a size S and was going to save it for the next F/W season...but started using it just after a few days and love it...I find EF boiled wool exceptionally soft + strong and I like the light weight verson because it's easier to layer just about everything underneath...down vests, cardigan sweaters, etc...this coat is a true blue classic and I'm very happy with the purchase!

Classic and comfortable
Classic and comfortable. I have several of these coats as they can be worn indoors as a jacket . I love to wear them over the matching colored tops and skirts or pants. I am 5.4 and 108 pounds. I wear PP or XXS.

Versatile piece but...
This is a versaltile piece in the right color. I tried the black and dove. The black works. The dove grey does not. This piece is unstructured, and not as well-crafted as other EF coats. It flares out strangely at the sides. The black disguises the imperfections of structure. The light grey does not and looks more like a sloppy robe. So I only kept the black. It is an easy layering piece.

Long cozy sweater but not a coat
This is a long sweater, not really a coat. Expected a coat so I returned. Would be better described as a sweater jacket if it must be called outer wear. Would make a great layering piece under a topper, but this isn’t something I need in my wardrobe. Was also overwhelming on my 5’2” frame. Otherwise the fabric is nice and it’s cozy.

The Icon Coat
Beautiful color, nice weight. I like the side pockets as opposed to front which are on my older but still great charcoal one. I purchased an EF ivory silk scarf with a Wren colored pattern as well. Wanted the coil boots but just not the right fit for me. I will wear this one for years. Perfect wt for winter in New England for me!

This coat will be a great wardrobe staple. It hangs beautifully over my bulky chenille sweaters as well as lighter tops. The Wren color is a nice neutral. I love the texture of EF boiled wool, it's lightweight but still very cozy and warm.

I love this!
I had to order down from my usual XS to XXS but other than that, this was, as usual with Eileen Fisher, an easy and satisying transaction. Quick delivery and the “coat” (really it’s like a duster”) is a keeper for me. I ordered red because I wear a lot of black so with a black turtleneck and black pants, it’s really a bright spot. Light weight, drapes well. I will be wearing it a lot.

More Substantial, Please!
This coat looked considerably more substantial in the photo. I expected it to feel that way once on.
It just felt . . . light. Too much so. Also, the color in the photo appeared warmer vs what it actually is upon opening the box and holding it, trying it on. Still deciding whether to return or not. I love Eileen Fisher. Half my wardrobe is EF but this just didn't hold up in comparison to the many EF "coats" I already have.

Elegant and easy
Love this coat. It’s warm and oversized enough to wear a sweater under. Very elegant, nice to have pockets too. I’m short (5’1) and the petite med hit me mid-calf. Roll up the sleeves, add a scarf and look well-dressed wherever you go!

Can’t go wrong with this coat
I love this coat. It is lightweight and still warm. The side slits make it very easy to walk. I got the brown color and it works with everything. If a coat is needed, It’s great for dog walking.

Red comfortable coat
