Not a fan of the fabric
very thin and sheer fabric. I didn't think it would last and so definitely not worth the price.

Easy and polished.
Was worried it would look too boxy but it doesn't! I love it with my lantern pants and loafers.

Warmth without weight
Comfortable lightweight wool this sweater was the perfect in flight layer for a recent Caribbean vacation. Drapes beautifully

Can’t go wrong with merino wool
What can I say…I am, and always will be a fan of Eileen Fisher merino sweaters, especially when they’re on sale. This is just the right weight…..can wear it pretty much year round and anywhere. It’s a classic and always looks great.

Very fine knit
This merino top is a very fine knit. Almost transparent. I purchased it in blue in-store, and picked up another one in the sale. It's an elegant top alone, and easy to layer. I downsized to avoid the drapey fit.

Classic
I've probably had such tops before, but I want this one to last forever! Light, simple, fits like a second skin. More colours please.

Wool snag
Love the sweater, but it snagged the first day I wore it. For the $$, quality should be better!

The Fine Merino Wool Was A Little Too Fine
I have been looking for a red sweater. This red was perfect but, the fine merino wool was a little too fine for my needs. I returned it.

Lightweight
Extra fine merino sweaters in pretty colors. I bought a bunch of them. Size L true.
I love EF merino and have been buying them every season. I really do prefer them to be a bit heavier than this for warmth, so I will wear with the new EF Lightweight Boil Wool Vest.

Fine Merino wool sweater that is not itchy
I love this very fine Merino box top sweater. Even though wool, it is exceptionally soft and most important, not itchy. Third time I've bought this beautiful sweater.

Poor quality
I was delighted with this sweater when I bought it as it looked beautiful on—fitting my figure perfectly. That being said….my first time wearing it (out to dinner), I noticed a couple of small holes in the chest area. I was shocked—especially as EF is known as being high quality. I’ve always loved EF and never had this problem before. Oh, well….

Great top for a warmer season
This is really a light weight merino top! Like, summer weight. I was looking for something a little more plush in this dark and damp December/January. I love the loose, boxy fit, so I'm keeping it. It will make a great layering piece and be perfect by itself come spring.

Another FAV!
I love these Fine Merino Box tops! I needed more body warmth than long sleeve cotton tees with cotton camisoles provided on cooler days (40 to damp 50 degrees). These are warm enough to be comfortable in doors (I still wear a cotton tank or silk cami under) and light weight enough to wear under a coat outdoors without being bulky. I own basic colors this winter 2024 (black; dove; seasalt; deep adriatic); and (Design Team alert) I look forward to white; nocture; graphite; charcoal in winter 2025! Adriatic Box-Top under Adriatic Fine Merino Poncho was perfect Christmas Day for me.

Fabric too fine
Expected a sweater weight fabric, this was more like a summer weight tee shirt. I returned it. Beautiful color.

Nice top but very thin
This is a nice top, but I found the fabric too thin. I didn’t really like the way it draped. I think this was because the fabric didn’t have enough body . I returned it

Nice lightweight wool sweater
Runs big and boxy - I had to size down one from my already sized down "EF size" (usually wear a medium EF but the small looked better.). Color are beautifull - love deep Adriatic and Pine. A little itchy but not too bad. I would like EF to offer more clothing in the easy or slender fit rather than the very boxy styles that you mostly offer.

Wonderful
I love this top. It is warm but light. I have worn it under a jacket and I have worn it over a silk turtle neck. I have also worn it alone, just over a camisole.

Love this Sweater!
i bought this sweater in Dove and loved it, so ordered one in Deep Adriatic to add to my collection of sweaters. It's warm without being bulky and is also a great layering piece over a tee or tank. Considering it's merino, it has a soft feel, isn't scratchy as wool sweaters can be, so thanks Eileen for this piece.

Another winner!
I can tell this will be another work horse of a sweater by EF. It's a pretty color, sort of a blue/black, and a light weight so you don't overheat (I work retail--lots of running around). Looks great alone or with a blazer thrown over it.

Pretty red sweater perfect for fall.
Comfortable knit pullover in a festive winter red. The only down side to the sweater is that the lightweight knit curls in on itself at the sleeve ends and also the bottom of the sweater.

changed sizing :(
These merino boxtops have been wardrobe workhorses, light enough to wear under a vest, cardigan, or jacket, and I have loved the fit. However, this year, the medium is about 3 inches bigger all the way around, and maybe 2 inches longer. It is no longer a cropped length, and the fit is closer to a swing top than a box top. These changes make it less versatile for me; I greatly preferred the old sizing!
