Disappointing Fabric
This dress was purchased with the thought of using it for Sundays with the family and possibly a wedding shower. It was the most disappointing fabric of all my EF purchases. This fabric. is stiff and scratchy and I know after wearing for a minute or two I would be tearing it off. So disappointing because I love the EF dresses I have purchased in the past. I will check thoroughly the fabrication of my future purchases for a softer feel.

Beautiful Shape
Love this dress. Great fit. Great shape. The closer fit up top combined with a forgiving fit on the bottom half made it a very attractive dress. My husband really liked it, too.

The dress looks beautiful on the model, but I hate this scratchy fabric. Also, it was too form-fitting around the tummy area, which made it not flattering. I will stick to my linen lantern dresses! My advice is to pass on this one if you are sensitive to scratchy fabrics, or if you have a large tummy.

I’ve been eyeing this black dress for months but already have so many of this style ( all from EF) that I don’t need yet another. What makes this one different though is the luscious fabric. I own a fuller skirt midi version of this French crepe dress from years ago, and it has held up beautifully. The fabric weight is heavier and falls perfectly with a gentle oval shape. It’s a maxi on my 5’5” frame. I got the XL and at 173 pounds it fits perfectly. Personally, I feel this dress runs a tad smaller than my other XLs. I’m a L or XL in this line and felt the large would have been a little tight in the shoulder/arm area. Wish there were pockets, but this dress is just my style as is and will get plenty of wear all year round.
