Beautiful slender fit!
This dress is beautiful! I am 6’0 and purchased an XL in black. I can wear this at church during the holidays and don’t have to worry about splits on the side, neckline to low or dress to short. It is not to full in the body which is good.
It’s a beautiful fit to dress up or dress casual if you want.
I am so happy that I purchased this and this dress will receive special treatment in my closet to wear for many years. Also thank you for such a great sale during 40 off!

Be Careful What You Wish For
Oh how I love Eileen Fisher Velvet! When I saw this dress, I thought it would be perfect for me - I've been looking for something like this for a long time.
I love a ballet neck, and I'm at the age when I prefer a lot of coverage everywhere else. I saw this as an elegant solution - just the type of dress that would cover everything, yet make me feel like a million dollars.
Sadly, this dress had so much volume around the middle that it looked like a velvet nightgown on me. If it had just a bit less fabric, it would have been perfect. It is impeccably sewn, and the velvet is plush and luxurious.
I'm 5'7," 110lbs, small bust, and the XXS was a perfect fit, length-wise, and around the arms and shoulders. It fits TTS, there is just too much volume in the middle by design.

Pretty dress
I am usually a size 10 and 5 ft 2, I bought this EF dress in size small and it fits perfectly. It is very elegant and the colour pretty. I would have liked a belt of same material, will have to find maybe a gold one somewhere else. I love the material it’s a silk velvet, good quality velvet. It falls nicely.

Almost perfect
I bought this dress in my usual size Small, what I typically wear in items with this shape. It's a great, versatile item that I foresee using with boots and chunky jewelry for more casual affairs and with a velvet or satin jacket for more formal occasions. Only four stars given for reasons other reviewers brought up: a bit tight in the shoulders and no pockets. These shortcomings are not deal breakers, however, and I intend to purchase in the other color because I know I'll get a lot of use out of them.

Gorgeous velvet
Lovely dress and lovely color. Eileen fisher always make the best velvet dresses and I purchase atleast one every year. They are so timeless and excellent quality. I have been wearing my Eileen velvet dresses for atleast 10 years and they still look new.
