GREAT layering and stand alone dress!
I was nervous about ordering this because I wanted it to skim, not hug, have a 49 inch bust, and am not exactly thin anymore, plus I have issues with tight turtlenecks re them making me feel claustrophobic. Yet, I liked the dress so much in the photos, so when it went on sale, I took a chance. Got 2x. I'm so glad I trusted Eileen Fisher quality, cut, and understanding of the female figure because this is darn near perfect and is a GREAT layering and stand alone dress! There is enough stretch to feel comfortable and accommodate one's chest. Hits right at bottom of kneecap. Sleeves are not tight and are plenty long. It skims waist and hips and is rather flattering on my figure that simply is no longer what it once was, haha. Suitable for daily wear, layering, around the house, going out, traveling, and can be a lovely base layer for jackets and some of those beautiful Eileen cardigans for a nice dinner out. Looks good with dark tights, bare legs, booties, loafers, tennis shoes, and flats. Take jewelry like a dream and is a good background for statement pieces, or scarves.

Excellent Timeless Dress
Have this classic dress from an earlier season and still works wonderfully today. What I'd suggest is that Eileen consider some of her simple and elegant tops and dresses with thumb notches. Gloria Steinem and Mika Bzezinski often wear such sleeves with thumb notches that elevate the look. Gives baby boomer women a bit more of an edge!

I love this dress
Perfect iteration of the black jersey dress. The length is right for me, covering the knee. Looks great under my cassis alpaca coat, hope it’s cool enough soon to wear them together.
The dress is a little warmer than I had expected, maybe because of the turtleneck.

Flattering fit
This is a versatile, seasonless black dress that will work well on its own or as a base layer with a cardigan or jacket. It’s perfect for travel and I know I will get a lot of use from it.
