"Oval" is an apt name for this dress.
If your body is long and thin, the fabric will drape well on you (like pretty much everything else from EF). But if your body is round at all, it will accentuate those curves, and not in a good way--even if you generally like that. On my size 14/XL frame, it fit just right in the bust but then flared out like a balloon. Returned.

Not Flattering
Unfortunately, I found this dress to be unflattering. The V neck is awkwardly high and the body of the dress is awkwardly cut. Add to that--my dress came very wrinkled. I will be returning it.

Another Great All-Occasion Dress
I own a similar dress from a past collection that has the same upper body treatment but with a fuller skirt and in a heavier weight fabric. I liked the newer oval shape concept and ordered a size large. I’m either a large or XL in this clothing line and found that in the large, there was no oval shape to the dress on my body. I returned it and ordered the XL which felt better on and had the oval fit I was hoping for. I’m 5’5 and weigh 170 for reference. The fabric is a medium weight, stretchy blend, and 3/4 sleeves are my favorite. It hits me mid-calf which is my perfect length to wear with booties. This dress can easily be worn casually or dressed up as needed. I highly encourage you to give it a try.

Great dress. Really 4.5…
I remember this style dress from many years ago. It was made with a slightly heavier fabric, and generally the dresses were slightly above knee length. Loved the shape, but not the length so very happy that this is longer. I’m 5’3”and it hits about mid calf. The dress also tapers more at the bottom than how it appears in the picture. I found it flattering and ordered by normal size/perfect fit. Taking a little off because the fabric is not as sturdy as the original.
