I paid close attention to the item description and viewed the comments before ordering this item in a size down for the person I intended to gift this item to. So you can imagine the shock when I received a very voluminous size large that fitted like a huge tent. Needless to say, I had to return the item. Being a shopper from Canada, I was stuck paying return shipping charges, that I expected, however, what I didn’t expect was the restocking fee. Although the amount was nominal, there is no mention of this fee in the return policy, furthermore, I think it is a bit punitive to impose any additional fees on shoppers outside the US, when a purchase is returned because of sizing. I join other shoppers in calling for more consistency in sizing across the board. I always consider the implications of ‘boxy fit’ vs ‘easy fit’ and I also make a point of viewing the comments, in order to make the best decision on size. Yet it remains a costly crap-shoot, very unfortunate!

Versatile and comfortable
I bought this in chestnut, thinking I'd wear it over my EF bone pants and tank, which looks great. But I can also wear it over my EF dark brown pants and tank in the fall, or over a brown linen tank dress, by itself, belted or not. I do wash it, and iron inside out, which leaves the puckered texture.

Wonderfully long and loose shirt dress!
This is a review for "Puckered Organic Linen Long Shirtdress" in seaweed color.
I usually choose size XL in EF long sleeve shirts and similar styles because I like larger loose fitting shirts and tops (personal preference), and because they fit better for size 38DD (and hips 44"). Some reviewers write that the shirt dress is very large, but some people like loose fitting styles and I'm one of those people. I like the generous shape of this garment and the way it drapes & moves.
I like this shirt dress worn open like a long over shirt, with a camisole underneath (I tried it buttoned up like a dress, but wasn't as happy with that look). The garment is long and it floats in the breeze when I walk when worn unbuttoned. The gathered yoke on the back of the shirt dress is a very nice detail. I also have the matching Puckered Organic Linen Lantern Pant in seaweed color and the two garments are beautiful together.
This shirt dress is made from an unusual linen fabric that is a tiny check plaid of dark green and black, and the fabric is somewhat similar to a seer sucker. It has a slight puckered texture even though the weave is fine and airy. The care instructions are unusual for this fabric: wash cold, do not put in dryer, hang dry instead and do not iron. This fabric is wrinkly when it comes out of the wash, so I gently stretch it while it is damp to reduce the wrinkles while it is hanging to dry. I don't know if there is a better way to care for this fabric.
But, despite the unusual care instructions for this the fabric, I really like both the long shirt dress & the lantern pants in seaweed. I wear size L in EF pants, and size XL in long sleeve tops.

Cute long shirt with versatility
Cute long shirt. It does not have to be dry cleaned but comes out of the dryer somewhat wrinkled which is disappointing. I still think it will be fun to wear and will be versatile.

Organic linen long length shirt with side slits
I’m using it as a beach cover up. Looks beautiful walking in town too! Feels elegant and and sophisticated! Love it. Bought in two colors, white and citrus.
