Way too long!
I suppose she is designing a 5’9” model in her mind with a reasoning that we can always take up the hem if needed but can’t do the opposite. This is true but it is also very frustrating for the majority of women who are not so tall. I am 5’3”. XXS fits perfectly on my hip, and width of the pants are good, but they are way too long. I have another pair of pima cotton wide leg pants that are identical to these except for the length. Length of those are perfect. It seems that Eileen Fisher decided to lengthen their pants by a couple of inches. Some brands offer a couple of inseam length options for their pants and I wished very much that Eileen Fisher will start doing the same. It’s hard to pay another $30-$40 for tailoring. Otherwise, love the pants.

Not for me
I've liked variations of these pants in the past but really didn't care for these. The first negative is the fabric, it is heavy and thick, and not as nice feeling as fully cotton previous versions. The second is the fit - or lack there of - it just feels and looks kind of schlumpy.

High hopes but sadly not for me
Always excited when finding a non polyester or tencel item. The reviews were raving and for many this style might worked. I had high hopes. Firstly, the fit in size small was gaping at the waist, the material was paper thin, gave me more a feel of thighs. I don’t need them to be heavy but wished them to be more substantial. Only trying them on for a short time they seemed to stretch out easily. To me personally they just didn’t look elevated but just like gym trousers. Sadly had to return them. Btw I am 5.4” and I found the length super

GORGEOUS But Very Long & Extra High Waisted
I love these pants. The style is fabulous. Very '40s chic (think Lauren Bacall) and the fabric is as smooth as glass, but they are incredibly high waisted & the leg is very long--longer than expected from the description. I am tall (5'10") and I can just wear them w/o shortening them (another fraction of an inch would be too much) and there is so much waist on them I need to turn it over. Not sure why EF only makes pants with inseams of either 27 or 31". Why can't she go with 29 or 30" occasionally?

Comfortable and elegant
These are fantastic pants, and so versatile. They can be dressed up or down, and they are comfy enough for travel. I've recently started moving toward natural fabrics in my wardrobe, so I really appreciate these cotton pants with a touch of stretch for comfort.
I wear them with a T-shirt and sneakers or with a nice blouse and sandals. Either way, they look great and feel fantastic. Elegant simplicity - love it!
