Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pima Cotton Crew Neck dress I expected it to have a different weight and texture, but it is a nicely designed dress

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs large I hoped to love this and have several Eileen Fisher dresses but this one runs large and was not flattering on me. I tried belting it but it did not work so I had to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Fit and the Fabric I bought this recently and love it. I just wore it to dinner with a white linen jacket, some simple jewelry, and sandals. The next day I machine washed it in a lingerie bag with Woolite, then hung it to dry. It has a few wrinkles, but I can wear it again with no steaming. The cotton is very soft, the front slit is something to be aware of when sitting, and it can go anywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool and comfortable! I don't usually like sleeveless clothing, but this dress works. I love that it is cotton which keeps me relatively cool. The slit at the front allows for easy movement. The color is unusual and flattering. It can be dressed up with jewelry/scarf, or wear it casually without accessories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Update I purchased this dress as soon as I saw it in my local boutique. Each season I like to buy the new EF stretch jersey dress, which I usually get in black. This one is ink and it’s super flattering. The slit is modern and the cut is very flattering on me. I bought the white cross hatch stretch jersey collar short shirt to wear over it as a light jacket. It looks equally as lovely without the shirt. These dresses serve as a perfect basic in my wardrobe and I often reach for them when travelling or just heading out for the day. I’m retired but I like an easy, comfortable, elevated look and this dress definitely fits the bill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing styling This dress was very long for a petite and armholes were bizarrely wide. Way too much tailoring costs for a dress at this price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy summer dressing With this silky and well-made knit, summer dressing is made simple. Eileen Fisher's minimalist design makes it suitable for leisurely walks, running errands, or going to the office. Add some strappy sandals or a cropped cardigan for more coverage and you are dressed for the day. The Ink color is flattering and pairs well with Dove, light gray...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Dress in Petites!!! After reading reviews of this dress, I hesitated to try on in store, being very petite. However I love maxi dresses and can never find a petite EF. I first bought the Ink color from the store and then bought the Blood Orange because I really liked the silhouette on me. I did downsize to a PP, so it would not look like a ballon on me. The sales rep told me it’s supposed to be like that—I did not like that look. BTW, I don’t find this fabric to be hot, stiff, or “synthetic”. I think it’s 100% cotton. Try it, you might like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous dress, very flattering I love this dress. The column dress is one of my favorite styles but it's not easy to find one that doesn't either hang like a sack, be too clingy, or bag out in the seat or knees. This one doesn't do any of this. It's narrow enough to not be sack like but doesn't hug any curves either. The fabric is nice and smooth and the amount of stretch prevents bagging out and getting a rough texture after washing. Dress it up or down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Drape and color. This is a mid-weight cotton jersey. It drapes beautifully. It holds its shape but moves comfortably with you. One reviewer referred to it as “stiff”. I did not find that at all, it just doesn’t fall limply as a super-soft or very lightweight cotton might. . I really love it and am thinking of ordering in another color. For reference, I am 5’8” and weigh 125 pounds and ordered the small.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fabric is heavy and stiff Almost everything in my closet is EF and has been for years, but it makes me incredibly sad about what has happened to the fabrics in the last few of seasons. Why do you believe that adding synthetic 'stretchy' stuff to the lovely organic cottons and wools makes them ‘better'? The cotton jersey used to be so soft and cool, a real joy to wear, but since you started adding the horrible synthetics, the fabric has become heavy, stiff, and hot. Synthetics also reduce durability, which cynically, I wonder is the point. Clothes that are not durable must be replaced by purchasing new ones more often. I also notice that even though the synthetics you have now added are significantly cheaper to use than the natural fibers from before, your prices have increased. Why would I pay EF prices for something I can get at a box store for half? And those of us who know about high end clothes know that 'stretchy' synthetics are the enemy of quality knits — which are naturally stretchy because of how they are made. Based on other reviews I know that I am not alone in being disappointed, so maybe you need to take a long look at what you are doing because you are losing long time customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding color! I have been admiring this dress since it was first shown in the last 2-3 months in the Planner. I had a gift card that I used to buy my PS Blood Orange Dress. It arrived this afternoon. I have three different belts that I can use with this dress to make it more fitted. I will have to alter the shoulder seam so it does not stick out, however it will be worth it. I am excited to wear this dress for all four seasons with a sweater or jacket living in the SW.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The slit is too high I was really hoping for a cotton jersey dress in Ink this season, but the slit on this dress is just ridiculous. Further, trying to sit in this dress is an exercise in constant fabric adjustment. What in the world?!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Jersey dress The dress looked like a sack in the website but I ordered it anyway hoping I could alter it enough so it looked less like a sack. This is a PP and I am 5 ft1 and 112 lbs.Just huge.will return.
