Wine & Pants
I had already bought these darling pants locally and wore them for the 1st time and my husband spilled an entire glass of red wine all over them. He felt bad and, thankfully, it was toward the end if the evening. Anyway, I tried twice to get the wine out but had no success so my husband said to reorder which I did the same night as the spill. Long story short these have become very expensive pants but worth it- really cute, well made and fit perfectly.

Unlucky in Linen!
I really wanted these to work due to an upcoming summer trip to Italy. Unfortunately, they are a bust and will be returned! I did appreciate your cotton pull-on pants and wrote a separate review on those.
Fit wise, the abdomen and hip area is extremely rigid! There is absolutely no give in the hip seams which lead into the rigid slash pockets. I was really surprised knowing EF’s functional approach to fit. I am typically a size Xl-1X in EF, but sizing up to a 1X or 2X may not be enough due to the rigidity of the hip and upper thigh seams. Surprisingly, the waist is completely flexible! My original purchase was an XL. Frankly, I do not have the time to be running back and forth to the post office and do not want my money tied up in the returns process for an unsure fit.
Secondly, I am 5’03”, and these pants were too long causing “pudding” at the bottom which is unattractive and frumpy. I do not want to have to pay to have these hemmed considering I am already paying a premium for a Fair Trade purchase.
Performance wise, the fabric has a good weight, but the pants need to have enough give in the hips and abdomen for apple-shaped and curvy ladies. Please redesign these plants to fit all women’s bodies.
I suggest you add some cotton to the pants for a more flexible fit and a softer fabric profile. Then perhaps the linen will have more performance and “snap back” to its original form when it stretches out due to daily wear.
I hope to try these again in the future. My EF linen tops fit perfectly and are soft and breezy. I was hoping to have the same experience with these pants .

Fit great and wash really well.
I bought two pairs of natural and the white both fit well as described and looked good not too much material. I wear a size medium normally take a 12 to 14.

Very nice pants but ordinary style
These are very nice good quality linen pants that are completely ordinary. Several other companies make the same thing at various price points. If you need a certain color that goes with other Eileen Fisher items then these would be a very useful purchase. But in the basic colors they are kind of expensive for what they are.

What is it with EF waistbands?
It seems almost all pants EF constructs are with gathered waistbands instead of smooth. This is the frumpiest looking and most uncomfortable type. I love a stretchy waistband but I find myself looking elsewhere for pants because I don't want this look. It is cheap looking, too much material and not refined. It also accentuates any weight you carry in your midsection. EF has gone down hill in multiple ways - it's so disappointing.

Lovely pants
Great fit. Nice fabric. Love the Ebony color. I wear with Ebony cotton sweater and Ebony parachute shawl for a somewhat dressy look. Mix with other earth toned tops and big canvas totes to dress down.

The quality of the linen is wonderful. It is soft but has a little bit of crispness as well.
I often find loose linen pants just too wide, these are not. The length is perfect for my barely 5'4" height.

Nice but run large
Loved the pants, but alas, the PP sizing seems to have gotten larger in many items. They were just what I wanted but way too large. Too much material in the waist and pocket area. Have to return. For reference I'm 5'2" -110

So happy!
I got these in PM and they fit perfectly. Still long, but not as huge as the regular sizes. I’m a little bigger in the waist and they fit fine. I have narrow hips and am 5’1”. I’m so happy that these are not to baggy where I get swallowed in them. Usually, I have to hem and taper. Not these! I might have to get a smaller size for when I lose weight.

Comfort and Style
These pants fill my expectations with everyday comfort and casual style. The kind of fashion that I will enjoy wearing day after day (Of course, I will have to launder them which is why I will get another pair in a different color). I chose ebony and have ordered a tee shirt in that color.

Didn’t work for me
I often find that EF ankle pants are too long for me- if I have them altered it seems to throw off the tapering of the leg. PLEASE start making your pants in petite plus sizes!

Organic linen tapered pants, loose waist
I liked everything about these pants except for the waist. It was bigger than usual (and I'm not a small waisted person); and as one reviewer said, the elastic in the waist is very loose to the point that it did not even grip my waist. If I could have figured out a way to make it work, I would have kept them, but, sadly, I had to return them.

Yes!!!
Now that I have the right size I’m very happy with these pants. I would love it if the fabric were a bit heavier so that the pockets are less visible. Otherwise, I wear them daily.
