Nice jacket for warm weather Fall/Spring NY
I just bought this fall/spring lined jacket for cool weather in warm months. I am 4'11' and in want of a full length to knee casual coat to wear with jeans. I only intend to wear cotton/linen shirts and it fits ok with the drop shoulder sleeves. to keep the warm weather look. I ordered size L as there isn't any petite sizing and I am satisfied with the fit.

Too bulky
This does not work for those of us on the heavier side. Very padded and adds a lot of bulk to the look. Much prefer your former cut that was more A line in shape with a thin lining. Not flattering at all.

Narrow shoulders
I love the concept of this jacket, and love a neat shoulder fit and slim arm. Alas, in my usual Eileen size XS the shoulders are too narrow to feel comfortable over anything but the slimmest of silk or jersey tops. The cotton lining sticks and catches on cotton and linen. Another difficulty: the arm sycthes are cut high and narrow, which could be a lovely look but combined with the padding in the arms and underarms just feels bulky and uncomfortable.
