Wasn’t sure but ended up a favorite
I was unsure of this piece upon first receiving it — heavier wool so seems if cool enough to wear, I’d need my arms covered. But, lo and behold, it’s actually perfect. When cold, I wear it as a vest with a long-sleeved jersey of the same color underneath. When a bit warmer but still cool out, it’s perfect in its own. I have worn it with jeans, black jersey slouch pants, black wide-leg pants, and a black jersey long, straight skirt. Looks great with each of these. It does run on the larger side (I wear either a S or an XS in Eileen Fisher tops) so my original Small was exchanged for an XS and it fits more as it should.

I love this item but needed to return due to the wool content irritation to my sensitive skin. Otherwise I would have kept this item as part of my career wardrobe.

Not a turtleneck
I’ve already returned it. The neck is so large/Wide that you can’t layer it. Under a coat, jacket, or sweater, the neck looks all stretched out, misshapen, sloppy.

A new favorite!
I am such a big EF fan! The clothes last so long (I have pieces over a decade old!); I knew when I saw this piece it would work for me - a sweater vest without being too hot - can change it up with what I wear underneath; unique shape and love the color! I bought size large as I didn't want it tight across the chest and am busty - it's perfect!

Beautiful woven fabric and alpine color
For reference I am 5'4, 35-28-35 measurements. I am pleased with my purchase of XXS in the alpine color that has beautiful fine appearing variegated color in it. I like the length of the top over the matching skirt I purchased in XXS. I bought this outfit because I love EF knitted clothing that is elegant, comfortable and hard to find. This wool does not scratch and is soft feeling on the skin. I would have been completely satisfied if the sleeves would have been longer since I assume to want to wear this for winter or cold weather and that it would have been in petites. I purchased the alpine poncho from another store to wear for warmth since this sweater top has no long sleeves.

Versatile and beautiful piece
I bought this a few weeks ago and love, love, love it. Drapes beautifully, is warm enough to wear without a jacket at a party, but also works great with a jacket or skirt. Such an easy, comfortable, casually fabulous piece. (I was also able to get this for an excellent price just before Thanksgiving--but it would be worth a splurge to pay more.)

Perfect as a Vest
I am in love with this piece. The wool is very soft, has a great texture, and is the right weight. I find that it is substantial but not overly thick or heavy. I purchased this in Sea Salt and it goes wonderfully with the boiled wool pant in Chalk. I plan on wearing a variety of shirts and blouses underneath to cover my arms. At 5'3" this comes down to my hips and is an attractive fit. I purchased my regular size. This style seems like it would be attractive on various body types and heights. I will probably buy another color.

lovely piece for fall
I tried this piece on at the Michagan Ave store (staff there are fantastic!) and thought it was nice. Age 40's 5'10, 165# size Medium. I wear Medium usually. It may be thick to wear a thin cardigan over as the other reviewer mentioned but feel it is a great piece for the fall. I would wear with leggings or. jeans. The material is quality. I am considering getting it in a couple colors.

A beautiful piece that would be perfect if
it were long sleeved. Sumptuous, flowing, true to size, but too warm to be sleeveless. I couldn’t tell from description how thick the fabric would be. It’s too substantial to wear under a cardigan or jacket and too warm to wear in weather appropriate for sleeveless. Make it in long sleeved version please!
