A home run closet staple
I’ve been hunting for the perfect black wool coat for years now. Last years EF wool coat was too boxy, the shape was not flattering and the collar didn’t suit me. This is lovely. The raglan sleeves, the wrap collar. It all works! It looks gorgeous buttoned, tied, both, or neither. I wore this today and felt like a million bucks. It’s no Max Mara, but I’m telling you, it’s a great dupe. If you’re on the fence, it’s a buy! You won’t regret it.

So pleased with this purchase! It’s a quick favorite and staple in my winter wardrobe. I am 45 years old, 5’3” and 112 lbs. I tried on sizes XXS and PP. I went with XXS because I preferred the length and more room in the shoulders for extra layering. Both had long arms, so until I hem them I’m just folding them up. I love this piece. The fabric is luxurious—soft supple and with a great sheen, and falls elegantly. I’ve used it daily since purchasing it. I thought I would wear it closed, but as it’s a lot of fabric I seem to prefer it open and draping. It’s warm enough that way. Paired with Eileen’s black and brown checked alpaca scarf it looks amazing. I paired it with a bright blue sweater too and again its stunning. I’ve received compliments on it regularly. Can dress up and down.
