A lightweight and elegant cashmere scarf
I chose the black Italian Cashmere Scarf. I really like the length of the scarf - it is a bit longer than most other scarves. The scarf is a very fine knit, with one side a different stitch than the other (like the "inside" and "outside" of a knit sweater), there are narrow bands of a different knit texture along each edge, and beautiful long ribbed knit ends. I was surprised to find that the cashmere scarf wasn't as soft as I had expected, but I decided to keep it anyway because it is lightweight and elegant (a different personality from the heavier soft marino wool EF scarves that I love -- I have many EF marino wool scarves in different colors). Unlike some EF scarves, this cashmere scarf can be washed by hand (I avoid scarves that are "dry clean only"). I decided to keep the black cashmere scarf and washed it carefully in cold water and a mild scented liquid soap. Washing this scarf required extra care and patience and I followed all of the washing instructions on the label, however I decided to include some hair conditioner in one of the many wash rinses. The conditioner was very helpful and the scarf is now a little softer. My washed and softened scarf is now resting quietly in a drawer along with a fragrant lavender sachet until chilly weather arrives in a few months.

Perfect size, and sumptuously soft hand. Enjoy the extra warmth without excessive weight and bulk that cashmere offers in a palest of fresh mint color so flattering on the broadest range of skin tones. Easily works with all neutrals: there’s a reason green is smack on the middle of the color spectrum.
