Form doesn’t follow function
I could not get my foot into the boot as it was too tight. If there had been a zipper at the heal like other boots have I could have easily slipped my foot inside.

I have to admit I was skeptical given the couple of reviews they got saying how hard they are to put on and the stretch fabric was tight. I am here to say, it's fine! My feet and ankles are thin but I do have a high instep and arch and had no problem putting on or taking off. The top edge of the boot does not fit too tight ( I can fit 4 fingers in the top when on). This allows you to wear narrower pants over the top of the boot too. The leather is fabulous, rich looking, and softens up quickly when wearing. I did go up 1/2 size and am glad, as it leaves plenty of toe room for a thick cozy sock. My usual size would have squished my toes a bit, and these are perfect with socks. I am taking them to France in February and hopefully they will hold up to a lot of walking and cold wet weather. I will update in terms of durability afterward. Got them on sale so EF is now my BFF.

Reliable everyday boots
Excellent everyday boots. True to size. A little bit narrow in toes area. Very tight stretch fabric (holds its shape really well). Ankles got swollen by the end of day because fabric is tight. This pair is a replacement for previous season Chelsea boots. Easy to style and can go with ant kind of pants or skirts. Heel is very comfortable and overall they are walkable.

Nice booties, but they are very hard to put on...
I really like the idea of these booties, the minimalist, but refined style, and the quality appears to be very good. But, I found them very difficult to put on and just as hard to take them off. The stretchy material is much tighter than I thought it would be. When wearing a sock and getting the boots on, the sock material would get pushed towards the heel, making the sock very tight in the toe area, not comfortable... I could probably only wear some slippery nylon socks with these boots.
That said, once these boots are on, they fit like a glove and seem comfortable. The fit is true to size, the width ok, I would have preferred them to be a little wider in the toe area (my feet are somewhat wide at the toes).
The booties also did seem to make my feet look bigger than other shoes, which was not a positive...
