Comfortable and Versatile
I am very pleased with these black jeans. I can dress them up or down. The material is soft but sturdy. I am 5ft 1in and bought a size S. The fit is perfect for me -neither too large or too tight.

Pant closure issue
The reviews on the snap on this pant are correct. The metal fastener is too large for the opening to fit over, making it very difficult to close. I do like the fit and style of the pant, so I'll have to decide whether to send the pant back or fix the problem myself.

Casual pants when you don't want to wear jeans
The fabric is heavier than I anticipated, but overall these are comfortable and fit well. I especially like that they came paired with a shirt jacket. Wish they came in Petites; on the model, the pants are actually ankle length. On me, they are regular length.

A Lot to Like
Tried PS and XS. I think ankle-length pants make short people look cut off. (I'm 5'2") XS is longer in the legs; even though I will have to shorten these about 1/2", that's better than too short. The buttonhole can be too tight, as others have noted, but one can use scissors to enlarge it. Fabric has a nice quality, softer and lighter than denim, and workmanship is good. I don't love the elastic in the waistband, which tends to look dowdy, but on this style the elastic isn't too noticeable.

Fabric, fit, & comfort.
Lovely fabric, fits tighter than looks on model - it should be made in sizes not small, medium, or large. Then would be a better fit for your size. Waist is elastic but not much give and too tight. I’ll have to have it altered. And it fits me well, but not a comfortable waste. It’s a beautiful pair of jeans but is flawed.

Just about perfect
These are my new favorite pants and I hope you keep offering them forever. The fabric is comfortable and suitable for all but the most extreme seasonal temperatures. How about a pure white for summer? The fit is perfect for me and I truly appreciate the pockets. One small quibble: the metal button is too large for the buttonhole. A sewn-on button would be much better.

Button issues
I bought these pants recently. The metal button on the waist band is too large for the button hole. Can't remove and replace button as it is metal on a metal shank. Tried enlarging the hole with a knife to no avail. Finally had to hammer edge of button to an oval shape in order to get it through the button hole. Not what I expect form Eileen Fisher.

Nice Fabric, Odd Fit
I tried these in my usual PS small. The waist was too tight, even with the elastic. The hips were a bit fuller than I'd like but might have been ok if the waist was comfy. The fabric is very nice. I'd hope to wear them like a jean, but sadly, returned them. I have 3 pair of EF jeans, wish these pants fit the same. I'm 5", 118lbs.
