A Return to Form: Marvelous Zippered Booties
I have countless pairs of various incarnations of Eileen Fisher 's Chelsea booties, acquired over several years, and with various names. I was crestfallen when the zippers from a couple of years ago disappeared. Nevertheless, I bought every color of the nubuck boots last year. I bought this year's versions, too. They were uniformly disappointing. That is, until I discovered the new "Crew" bootie. The "Crew" bootie is a glorious return to form for Eileen Fisher. I bought them in tobacco, and both the leather and the color are gorgeous. And, with the side zipper, they are wonderfully easy to slip on and off. (More like these, please). Like their zippered predecessors, I will wear these until they fall apart. I couldn't be happier. I just wish they came in more colors. Just a note--I teach a block of two classes for four hours at night, four days a week, and am on my feet constantly. These are wonderfully workaday shoes that can be dressed up.Or down.

Disappointed in Quality Control
I was so excited to get these booties but they arrived with 3 oil stains on the toe and back of one of them and deep scratches on the other bootie. So disappointed that this wasn’t caught in quality control before they were shipped out. Sadly I had to return them.

Love These Boots
I bought these boots a couple of weeks ago and have warn them twice. I bought my regular size, 8, and they fit exceptionally well wearing a medium weight sock. I have not had the same luck with previous EF footwear. My forefoot is wide and my heel is narrow so my heel would slip a lot in a size 8 but a size 7.5 was too snug. These boots are comfortable and stylish. Thanks EF!
