Disappointed
This looked like it would be the perfect light weight black jacket with glowing reviews. I was therefore very disappointed w the rough fabric & slightly off-black color It was also very A line in shape & swam around my hips (XS, 37" hips). I was expecting it to more like the smooth, soft very black travel ponte. It's not.

Stylish jacket
Stylish, cool weather jacket. It was the perfect weight to wear in meetings where the rooms were chilly. Dresses up jeans. Works with dressier clothes too.
Did not wrinkle traveling. Did not pick up hair or debris like some black clothing. Runs true to size.

Lovely black jacket
Smart, versatile black jacket in a relatively light weight which would be perfect for going out to dinner or throwing on as outerwear on a temperate day. I wish the cut were a bit slimmer, but otherwise I have no complaints.

Impressively finished
This jacket is a wonderful surprise. Simply yet flatteringly cut, it has two standout details — the first is deep, placket pockets, the second is snap closures that are fabric covered! That last detail considerably elevates this jacket. It is understandable why it sold out so quickly; I bought it immediately; it has been a long time since I have been so pleased with an EF purchase.

If I can get it
I don’t know how long this tunic has been available but this is the first time I have seen it. So, I must ask again, why is it that new or newer things become available and before I get a chance to order it, the top six sizes are sold out leaving S, XS and XXS are left. That tells me that there many more women in the US that wear the larger six sizes than the smaller sizes. I have written about this very problem several times and never get an answer. Also why can’t you offer a system whereby the customer can ask to be notified when an item becomes available again.I have spent a small fortune for Eileen Fisher clothes and will continue to but I must say I find this problem very disconcerting. Jacket review
It’s a nice quality jacket but much too long and big and baggy for my taste. I sent it back for this reason. I’d love to see just a bit of tailoring around the waist, but that’s not EF’s thing. It was worth a try.
