Yikes!
I recently received an email notification of this particular sweater and color, aubergine. I looked at the website, but no reviews had yet been published. I purchased the sweater on 20 November at my local EF store and wore it yesterday, Thanksgiving Day, 27 November. I left an embarrassing trail of chenille knots (I won't say it was fluff) EVERYWHERE I went in my host's home. Although she thought it was funny, I did not. When I arrived home, I left two or three bits of yarn every single foot from my front door to my closet. This morning, I am still picking up stray bits of fluff. This has been a terrible waste of $300. I have previously purchased many EF sweaters in merino or cashmere, and they are valued purchases--some of them are nearly two decades old. I hesitated before buying the chenille, worried that it would be easily snagged, but I never considered the poor quality of the knit. I can't imagine where or when I will ever wear this sweater again. I can see by the reviews today that mine is not a unique experience. Whoever approved this chenille knit should be buried in piles of aubergine knots and fluff! (I tried to upload a photo of today's yarn balls, but for whatever reason, I could not.)

Beautiful color and texture
Nice color and texture, the eggplant color is lovely. Lost is shape really fast and very warm to wear. It says hand wash on the label but I’m hoping it regains its structure with a machine wash.

Beautiful Sweater, but.....
I LOVE EILEEN FISHER CLOTHING, but this was a disappointing purchase. Sweater will not keep its shape, leaves "fuzzy's" on everything is touches, Needs very special care. Color is gorgeous tho.....

Wanted to Love
I will say up front, I LOVE EF!!! This sweater could have been perfection if not for the extreme pilling. I purchased the aubergine and it is a beautiful deep purple. The fit was great (small) and it looked fabulous with the wide legged ponte pant. I wore in on a short day trip to a neighboring town to shop. The seat belt is a necessity and by the time I got home a significant amount of the chenille was GONE. I have never written anything but excellent reviews, but I couldn't this time around. FLUFF EVERYWHERE....If you just want to stay home and look cute, buy it. If you plan to wear it in the car with a mandatory seatbelt, I cannot recommend it. I gave it a 3 for the beautiful color, feel, and fit. For the $ this was definitely a disappointment.
