Warm, attractive, lightweight
So happy with this jacket! I have worn for casual and dressy occasions. A subtle slightly lavender color. Highly recommend! Only EF has these fabulous fabrics!

Perfect top for cold weather.
This is the perfect top for cold weather. I love this top. It’s extremely comfortable and flattering to wear with a skirt, pants or over a jumpsuit or dress. It keeps me warm, doesn’t itch even though it’s a woolen fabric. I have it in three colors. I can dress it up with a silk scarf or jewelry, or I can dress it down. The cut is elegant, yet extremely comfortable - the epitome of the Eileen Fisher philosophy.

Beautiful coat with one flaw.
This was a fabulous coat in every way. But, as the other reviews stated, the collar was not sewn down and it just didn't work. I suppose I could have sewn it or closed it myself, but I don't sew and think this was a fundamental flaw.

A Joy to Wear
I bought this lovely jacket early this fall but hate to review items by looks alone. Now that the weather’s turned and I’ve been wearing it, I can say that it’s every bit as practical as it is beautiful. It’s easy on-and-off, overlaps generously for frontal warmth, rises high for neck protection, and allows for layering. Though it weighs no more than fleece, it has the quality appearance of young shearling, with a subtle sheen (I got the silver). The unfinished facing mentioned by other reviewers hasn’t been a problem: I find that it flattens out in the wearing. The style is modern and clean, yet vaguely 19th-century Russian. When I slip it on, I instantly feel very special.

Wanted to love it, but...
Why, Eileen Fisher, didn't you tack down the inside of the front edges of this jacket? As they are, untacked, the front looked odd. I debated tacking it myself but decided it would never look right or be pressed correctly at the dry cleaners. So unfortunately I can't recommend this to other. Returned the item. If you fix this, let me know and I'll reorder.
