A magnificent design.
Simple, elegant, drapes well.
Pockets are placed slightly to the front of pants, which avoids bringing bulk to the hip area.
Material has a natural flow

Excellent summer outfit
My reason for 4, not 5 stars is personal. After much reflection I had to admit Tarragon just wasn’t my colour. I had also ordered regular fit and whilst the medium in the top was perfect the pants were too long. I felt that shortening them might alter the lantern shape. The material felt like good quality linen and as I stated the issues I had were personal. I think it would look very good on someone taller than my 5 ft 2 inches.

Linen Delave Lantern Pant
The linen fabric is great. I ordered a M and then exchanged it for a S which fit just fine. The overall look, however, was not for me. Returned the S as well.

Love the fabric and rich colors
I now have five pieces of this linen collection. In our 107° heat, the material breathes. My husband smiled and complimented the, new for me, plum color. I love every thing about these except the waist on the pants runs small.

Order a size smaller than you usual EF items
I love the jacket and lantern pants - color, fabric and fit. But I had to send back my first order with regular EF sizes and get a size smaller than usual. It fit perfectly!

Oversized
I am 5'5" and purchased these pants in a PS according to your size fit chart. I do like them but am sending them back. At 116lbs these pants are falling off me. The cut is made for a generous body not a slim one. All I seem to do is return Eileen Fisher clothes these days. Gone are the days when XXS meant XXS or PS was fashioned for a slender body.

Great pant!
So glad EF is making more pants in petite. These are a beautiful shade of green, with some gray in the weave. I’m 5’2”, and they fall right at the ankle. Nicely tapered in cut and the pockets are placed to make me look slimmer.

Great fabric and cut
Love the fit and feel of these pants. Beautiful linen and a flattering cut. Since linen is a heavy fabric the taper takes away the unwanted bulk. This is the only linen pant that works for my petite figure.

Sizing Inconsistencies Driving Me Mad!
I bought the linen lantern pants in seaweed and black last year in petite large and they fit well. I bought this season's version in tarragon and can barely get them on, even in a regular large. I think Eileen Fisher listened to the complaints about the fuller cut last year and slimmed them down...to a fault! I tried on last year's pants just to make sure it wasn't extra weight on my part but, nope, they fit the same.
It's too bad that I will have to return them. Eileen Fisher remains my wardrobe go-to but it's a disappointed no for me on these pants.
