I really wanted to love these pants. I am petite and curvy. Lantern pants tend to fit me well and look good; however, these just looked like wide clown pants. The size was correct, but maybe the linen fabric was just too baggy and wrinkled for the lantern style. If you have the right shaped body, I'm guessing they would look much better. They just weren't for me.

definitely size down!
With thanks to earlier reviewers, I went down one size from my usual Eileen medium. ( I know her clothes runs large, but I'm 5'7 and 160 lbs--not "small" by any standard.). It's quite a cute pant. I rarely wear linen pants b/c the wrinkles at midsection draw attention to areas I'd rather not emphasize, but the way the pockets are positioned on the slightly offset double-lapped seams (like on the side of your jeans, only these seams appear a few inches into the front rather than on the side of the leg) makes these more flattering than the typical linen pant which can balloon. We'll have to see if the wrinkling drives me nuts but if so I can wear them with the organic linen melange long cardi in "bramble" (a surprise hit, and I love the pieces together). Another pleasant surprise is that the pretty cinnamon color will work into fall, especially with pieces in the tan, linen, or brown color range, such as the previously-mentioned cardi.

Extremely comfortable!
Extremely comfortable! Purchased PP -- great length but tooooo wide for me (5'3", waist size 25). The waist is also too loose. I should get a XXS, but it's out of stock.

New favorite pant!
I hate shopping for pants, and worry about fit when ordering online, but these exceeded my expectations! Comfortable, opaque, and well-made. Could be dressed up or down. The pocket placement is a bit unusual, as they sit towards the center leg /crotch area instead of at the hips/outer thigh, but it actually works better for the overall silhouette. (I’m 5’9” and 115lbs and XXS fit is perfect.) These are probably my new favorite pants!

Love the fabric but not the proportions
I usually love the lantern shape but these pants in my regular size medium are too long in the rise and too loose in the hips — and I’m a pear shape so I do appreciate roominess in that area, but the fit is off for me in these. I do like the Linen Delave and the color khaki. I tried a size small but it didn’t work for me either.

Fun and flattering summer pants in clever cut.
I followed advice of other reviewers and sized down with these "lantern" style pants and am amazed they fit and are flattering! Linen drapes well and while not as refined as most summer linens, is not hot. Nice casual look.

Easy pants!
Very soft linen. This was my first Eileen Fisher purchase & I have been back since for many orders. It’s so comfy and light enough to wear in Texas Summer heat. I can see this going into fall as well during home, vacations (when possible), work & weekends.
