Lovely, but not good for a pear shape
Although this is wide leg pant, it doesn't have any pleats in the tummy area, so there's less room for a pear figure. These fit, but were unflattering on my curves. These are great pants, but not for my shape -- they are better for a slimmer bum and tummy. The fabric and color are great, but I returned for a lantern fit.

Outstanding linen pants!
I’m 5’6”, 147 lb. Size Small fits perfectly- snug yet comfortable in hip, waist, thigh. Length hits ankle bone and the pockets are great (I wouldn’t buy without.) The color is a vibrant deep denim blue to pair with white or even neon yellow & other summer shades. EF linen is the best.

Love these flattering trousers
I was, and still am, confused by the negative reviews about the pockets. They look fine and lay flat on me without coming too far down. Plenty of room for my phone too. I purchased a large. The waist is very flattering and the length is just right. I'm 5'4" and usually wear a numeric 14 or 16. I usually get Large or PL in EF clothes. These pants fit great. I love the Coriander color.

More streamline fit for linen pants
Most of the linen pants I've purchased are pull on with elasticized waist. I usually purchase a size smaller to minimize the bulk caused by the gathers. I purchased these a size smaller but probably should have stuck to my usual size as it is more snug than expected. There is considerably less fabric gathered below the waist band and around the hips so the look is more streamlined and smooth. The vertical seaming probably allows for more shaping from hips to waist. I'm okay with this smaller size but if I purchased another, would opt for my usual size.

Perfection with the Correct Size
I didn’t give up. I first purchased the XS, XXS and finally the PS, found the linen trousers of my dreams. I purchased every color. The coriander is a beautiful fern green and pairs well with a black silk stretch tank. The Atlantic color is a rich greenish-blue and photo doesn’t capture its great tone in linen dye. I must warn my fellow devotees of EF that the size chart is misleading and suggest to design team that it needs a revamp. Big accolades to the staff and Manager Ritu at the Flatiron store in NYC. They are kind and generous even when I purchased the wrong sizes and continued to return items. Very gracious. I am generally a size 27 waist and petite 6 in most pants, sometimes a size 4. The XXS fit really well (which doesn’t make sense according to the EF size chart) and didn’t puff out but unfortunately shrank in the wash. Don’t go with these trousers if you have no room for slight shrinkage. I am now happily in my PS Delave linen trousers and they are the best. I love this heavier linen. It drapes really well and I recommend this cut.
