Perfection with the Correct Size
I didn’t give up. I first purchased the XS, XXS and finally the PS, found the linen trousers of my dreams. I purchased every color. The coriander is a beautiful fern green and pairs well with a black silk stretch tank. The Atlantic color is a rich greenish-blue and photo doesn’t capture its great tone in linen dye. I must warn my fellow devotees of EF that the size chart is misleading and suggest to design team that it needs a revamp. Big accolades to the staff and Manager Ritu at the Flatiron store in NYC. They are kind and generous even when I purchased the wrong sizes and continued to return items. Very gracious. I am generally a size 27 waist and petite 6 in most pants, sometimes a size 4. The XXS fit really well (which doesn’t make sense according to the EF size chart) and didn’t puff out but unfortunately shrank in the wash. Don’t go with these trousers if you have no room for slight shrinkage. I am now happily in my PS Delave linen trousers and they are the best. I love this heavier linen. It drapes really well and I recommend this cut.

Lovely mossy green color
I greatly regret following advice in other reviews to size up. I did so, wore the pants in a state of wishful thinking that they were not too big, and then they stretched just enough to smash the illusion. I moved the button over to address the issue, and even that didn’t work. In other words, purchase your actual size.

Terrible shallow pockets
Nice fabric, very wide legs (might be too wide for me), disappointing front pockets that would only be useful if you need pockets for your hands. Barely an inch deep after a wide slit, phone and keys will be lost.

only downside is that the pockets, while large, are shallow, about 2” deeper than the opening. otherwise wonderful! would love to see this style in more colors!

Lovely, runs small
I usually wear a Petite Medium or a Medium in Eileen Fisher. I'm going to have to exchange for the Petite Large. Which is too bad, because I'd love to wear it right out of the box and now I'll have to wait a little longer. Lovely color, nice cut.

Gorgeous color, fantastic fabric.
Stunning, fabric so comfortable. Zip button closure in front with elastic waist and back to keep it from gapping. Did not experience what the other reviewer wrote. Am pairing this with other items in the collection (River, Ocean, Seafoam) tops and sweaters but find that it also works great with bright colors such as Flame. I expect these to last for years to come. These can be dressed up or dressed down.

Beware pockets
The vertical pockets will not lie flat if you don't have a flat tummy and/or don't size up. It's not a good look. I also found the rise to be too high for my body.
