These are attractive, well made trousers, but on me they were short-in-the-stride. I had to return the Medium. Better for shorter ladies (I am 5' 7").

Love!
I love how the cotton feels against my skin. The pants are very comfortable. I was hoping to take them on my trip but because they are cotton - however they wrinkle. Would like to purchase them in different colors because I they are also very flattering. My body shape is an inverted triangle so lantern pants help to balance out my shape.

Summer travel perfect!
Very lightweight but still substantial enough to wear for travel in the summer. Fits beautifully and goes with everything, from long day tours to dinner in a nice restaurant. Washes so easily — I love EF poplin because it is 100% cotton! Usual XS fits well, 5’4” 115#.

Comfortable and lightweight for summer, wasn’t hot in 90s despite long pants. Washable and casual. On a sale it’s even better. Could likely iron out every wrinkle to crisp them up for more formal moments but I find the lightweight fabric and wrinkles add to a casual feel that works well with summer linen/gauze tops.

The Color Sold Me
This is my first pair of Lantern Pants - for reference, I am 5'7" and have a slim, straight figure (118 lbs.), so a size XXS fits me. As other reviewers have noted, the fabric is unexpectedly soft and light, making the pants very comfortable to wear. But it's the color that prompted me to order them - Biscuit is the shade of butterscotch pudding, caramel, and toffee - my childhood favorites. I liked the way it was styled on the model so much that I bought the white bateau top, too. We are headed to Martha's Vineyard next week and this is an outfit I can't wait to wear.

Where are the petites?
Again EF slights their petite customers by not offering a favorite style in petite sizes. I hope this is rectified next summer, these are my favorite pants. Lots of colors in petite sizes would be wonderful!

Great Summer Pant
Ordered this after reading other reviews. I love the color and fabric weight. Sized down in these to a medium...5'5", 165lbs). I would love to see this fabric and color in a straight pant rather than lantern. The style just doesn't give a classic vibe.

Great all-purpose pant for hot weather
I had been avoiding this poplin pant, although I like the cut in other fabrics, because I assumed that the poplin would be thick and stiff and uncomfortable in hot weather. But finally I took a chance on it, because the biscuit color appealed to me. What a surprise it is to find the poplin extremely lightweight (but sturdy) and soft enough that I wouldn't mind sleeping in these pants.
