I actually love this shirt, sizing might be tricky
I get what the other reviewers are saying, but I'd size to your bust to find the right fit. The shoulders were fine on me and I love the fabric

The other reviewers were right about the shoulders
Beautiful top for the hot weather. Light and airy. However, the shoulders do stick up for some reason as mentioned by other reviewers. I did not expect this would be a problem for me as I have very broad and square shoulders. Luckily. I found a way to alter the top without too much fuss. I can't wait for the hot weather to arrive so I can wear it.

Wonderful fabric. Shirt design is odd
I wish the design of this shirt was as good as the fabric. Absolutely one of the best for a hot, sticky day. Washed cotton with a great hand. I will be looking for more items in this fabric. Unfortunately the design, for me, is odd. The front and back are steeply curved into side slits which go to the waist. That narrows the front so it kind of caves in when buttoned up. It's not horrible but it doesn't hang that well. Considerably shallower slits and curves would have been much better.

Love the shirt, the short is to big
I have been an Eileen Fisher devotee for years. This is a great shirt however I was swimming in it. I typically wear a Large in shirts. Very disappointed as I was anticipating it would be a great blouse to go with many things. Eileen, not sure what is going on but, you designers and pattern makers are missing the mark.

I initially bought the white one. I loved it so much that I cam back and got 2 more. Another white one and a black one. I love layering and this shirt can be worn year round.

Maybe it depends upon the color
I purchased this in XS in seaweed and absolutely love the fabric and paired with the poplin pants in same color. So fabulous especially when I get it right in sizing, there is no one else who does it better than EF. Loved the ease and drape, definitely a 5-star worthy item.
But then I ordered the S in white hoping for a looser fit to wear unbuttoned over tanks and just as reviews warned, the shoulders popped up and out and was so oddly unattractive.
If anyone is familiar with the cartoon the Jetsons back in the days, it was designed with shoulders like out of the Jetsons. Difficult to describe but I don’t think ironing it down would remedy it. I also wondered if it was a design flaw in the white because I didn’t experience this in the seaweed. I gave up my quest for another poplin blouse and sadly, returned the white in S and only keeping the seaweed in XS. A mystery.
