Nice pants but not a true crop
I like the pants and will keep them, but I really wanted a cropped pants, and these fall at my ankle. I don't know if it's because of the size I wear (3X) but I think it would have been easy to modify the pattern for the larger sizes to achieve a true cropped style. Disappointed, but the material is nice so will keep them and maybe take to a tailor for hemming.

696 with twist
My beef with this pant is the same as with the side slit crops, the crops use a wider elastic waistband then the the 696 and they are therefor far less comfortable. I don't understand the reluctance of the design team to use the well loved construction of the 696 in the crop variation. I literally live in the 696, in or out, and part of the affection I have for the pant is the comfort no matter the task or weather. I don't want a thicker band of elastic at the waist for summer.

I love EF cropped pants - but prefer the side slit
These pants fit really well, have a great leg width and are a true crop. But this year the slit is in the back rather than in the side seam. This means that there is a very large hem to accommodate the back slit. Since I wanted a white pant, it meant the the large hem was very obvious. I didn't care for that feature. Please bring back the side slit and still offer the range of colors - I would buy them all.
