I bought this in the color Hazel, a golden tone. The small size would have been too small, this Medium fits okay. I bought this on sale. It is long enough to wear with a skirt and I will even wear it over a dress.

Lovely Velvet Top
Lovely color and fabric texture. Although I would have liked to match the cassis velvet top with a skirt or pants in the same fabric, if they were available. However, the top looks great with my black velvet pants and even denim leggings for a more casual look.

Very brown and very wide.
The color was much more brown than I anticipated. Also, the cut was strange — very wide a a little shorter than the other box tops I own. Returned.

Beautiful top.
Really like this top, two things, sleeves for me were too long and the button on the back is almost impossible to do up without a struggle due to arthritis. Maybe you could take that info to the designers for future clothing. Having sleeves altered, no big deal, use my magnifying mirror to due up button but its a hand struggle. Otherwise fabric is beautiful and I love the top.

Beautiful fabric and cut
This is a lovely top and Eileen’s velvet pieces are always the very best quality fabric. Lucious, wonderful drape and washable. Full-length sleeves, not too wide or narrow. Overall cut is a bit wider than some of her other velvet tops - I’m often between two sizes and glad I went with the smaller size after reading reviews. Also the neckline isn’t quite as wide as some, which I consider an improvement. I’m still on the fence about the Hazel color; usually a big fan of the mustard-type shades but this is more brown and less appealing.

The top is boxy and so somewhat short. There isn’t much give with this cut and fabric but my usual size was still a good fit. The style and the color I ordered allow for dressy or casual. I expect I’ll see many seasons of wear from my purchase.

Lustrous velvet top with easy fit
Another wonderful velvet piece. Easy fit looks great with pants or skirt. Wish the color were a little bit lighter for more contrast with black but will wear with ivory and light beige pants and skirts. Petite Large perfect for 5’3” height and ample flattering fit for a full bust.

Lovely top, wrong fit
Beautiful, beautiful color (hazel) and fabric but too short for my tall (5'11) frame. Sadly, I had to return it. I even went to the store to try the next size up, but no luck. There was no extra length to speak of and the fit was off. It is hit and miss for me on the length/proportion for many EF clothes. I love them and do wish they offered tall sizing.

Luxurious and comfortable.
Another reviewer said that the opening for the head was too small, but there is a button and a keyhole-type opening in the back--I had no trouble at all. The deep burgundy color is almost brown, but really lovely and rich. AND the shirt is very comfortable.

Lovely fabric, just didn't hit the sweet spot for
I am 5'3", wt 115. Small chested. I ordered the PS. Hazel. The sleeve length was perfect. I had no issue with the neck size as a previous review mentioned. One does need to undo the back button to put the top on, but for me the collar hung at a good place. The fabric was soft - not too light, not too heavy. I ended up returning however because I was bothered by the length in the front. The middle front is slightly shorter than the sides. If you have any sort of tummy (particularly after you eat a nice festive meal), I felt like the top was just going to bring all eyes to my stomach. I know this is a box-top and so meant to be shorter. Guess for me I just need a slightly longer top.

Neck is too tight.
The neck is too tight. I could barely get in let alone get the top on. I wear a consistent petite medium, but I couldn’t even get this top on or get my arms in.
