Beautiful and super comfortable
I love this velvet long shirt! I bought it in Meteor to go with silk pants the same color, and I took them on a June cruise around the British isles. The weather was cold and rainy, so I wore this outfit on the ship on days when it was just too nasty to go ashore. It was the most comfortable -- and beautiful -- thing I could have chosen. I just wish I'd bought the same shirt in other colors when my size was still available.

Pretty way to Dress up
I love the silver gray velvet with my salt and silver peppered hair. The velvet looks dressy as a shirt Jack with a dress or my black EF gathered hem crepe skirt and silk tank; or with that same tank and my black EF silk pants. It’s versatile and affordable elegance. I want to try it next holiday season with skinny crepe EF slacks and that top.

Beautiful velvet shirt but runs big!
Size down! I’ve never worn a petite small before but I will need to or possibly a PP in this beautiful shirt.. I’ve only worn a petite M on top due to bust size. I’m
5 ft, 124 lbs. This top runs much too wide and long for a petite body. I had to look twice to be sure this was the correctly ordered size. I’m finding it impossible to know what my EF true size is after years of feeling confident with the fit.

Cassis is beautiful in velvet!

Grab-and-go elegance
I had one of these shirts for about 5 years, and it needed to be replaced. I was delighted to find another one in a slightly darker color on sale. This is a comfortable, elegant shirt, and it's an easy item to grab to look nice for an evening out. I highly recommend and hope to purchase it in more colors next year.

Another EF Velvet Beauty
I love this shirt so much that I bought it in a second color when it went on sale. Comfortable, elegant, washes beautifully and can be dressed up or down. I took a chance on the meteor color because I usually can’t wear grey, but this shade is deep and warm and lovely. And I’m grateful that it was available in petite sizes!

Love this! I have it in two colors. It is beautiful dressed up with slacks and also looks amazing with jeans. Highly recommend adding this to your closet. The fabric is very classy and feels amazing!

Velvet - for every occasion!
I bought two of these velvet shirts. First, I bought one in black and then returned to get another in sweet plum. The shirt seems to have a different personality in each color. The black velvet shirt is more formal, the sweet berry more playful. I love both. The drape and shimmer of this velvet is so beautiful, the way light plays with the velvet texture. I like the gathered back yoke and the band collar a lot. I hope to wear these shirts soon, but suspect I will be wearing velvet shirts for casual occasions! I bought both colors in size XL because I like shirts to fit looser and the drape of the XL fits my hips better.
For size reference: 38DD, 42" hips, about 152 lbs and 5'6"...

Return fees high if you're outside the U.S.
This is a lovely, shimmery, hip skimming shirt. I originally bought it in 1X but it was too large so had to return it for an XL which fits perfectly. I live in Canada and did not realize that there is a fee to return items to Eileen Fisher. The fee was approximately C$30, over 15% of the total cost of the item, with an additional restocking fee of about C$3. Fortunately, the woman I dealt with at Eileen Fisher not only generated a return label for me but waived the 15% fee as this was my first online purchase with Eileen Fisher. I doubt I will buy online again as return fees are astronomical.

looks nice but way too big even in a petite petite
EF used to have a completely reliable PP size. This shirt is notably too wide in the shoulders. (So is the other shirt I ordered, a charmeuse silk, but I'm desperate for a monocolored blouse for this weekend so I'm keeping that one.) Teh arms also are an inch or so longer than the PP used to be.

Velvet shirt
Just received this pretty velvet shirt. I’m a big fan of the band collar. The cassis color is very nice and I always like EF velvet. However…the design is the reason I’m returning it. When I put the shirt on I can feel the back yoke with the thick stirring band laying on my back and it’s quite uncomfortable! Disappointed!

This velvet tunic has an unfussy European sex appeal to it. I find the neckline to be very attractive - surprisingly so. The Venus color is a stunner - a great one to keep in future designs as it seems very popular, for good reason. I found the tunic on sale at

Do you know what I love about Eileen Fisher?
I’m ordering this shirt because it’s stunning and it can be dressed up or dressed down. This is what I love about Eileen Fisher products….
The quality, the sizing, the elegance, the classic pieces, versatility…Best yet, here is a perfect example: My daughter-in-law is tall and thin and I’m short and average build. I purchased a 1 piece black jump suit four years ago that I wore to my 50th high school reunion. Recently, my son, daughter-in-law and two young grandkids were going to the ballet and afterward, we were having a sleepover. In all the commotion to get ready to come over, my daughter-in-law forgot her outfit for the theatre. I told her to find something in my closet as I had several Eileen Fisher pieces and I knew she’d find something. She did and that jumpsuit was a knockout on her! She paired it with a beautiful multi-color jacket (by another designer) and she felt like (and looked like) a million bucks. LOVE Eileen Fisher!

Gorgeous fabric
I bought this in the Ivy, which is a gorgeous deep green that has a lovely sheen. The velvet drapes beautifully and feels wonderful. I like the gathered yoke in the back, too. I tried on both a medium and a large, and could have worn either size. Because I wanted to be able to layer it, and have an easy flow and movement, I went with the larger size. (Usually I wear either a medium or a large in EILEEN FISHER shirts, depending on the silt.) Happy to get it on sale this week!
I would prefer a different neckline, but otherwise love this shirt.

Beautiful and comfortable
I always have the urge to buy clothes too big. I am broad shouldered and busty. I am also 69. I still want to look well put together and great fitting great feeling clothes. This is a wonderful shirt. Perfect for the holidays, but not so fancy I cannot wear it to work. I followed the fitting guide and took a chance and sized down. It’s absolutely perfect.

Bought this in cassis in XL relying on EF fit guide. Huge on me, even with my 45”
Bust. EF returns made it easy return, but I wanted it for a specific event so had to order another and wait for refund. Would be helpful I’d fit chart showed actual garment measurements since garments can vary. Took off one star for inconvenience.
