BEST Cardigan Ever
This is the BEST! I have had it for years and wear it often. It is pricey & it NEVER goes on sale (the ultrafine in black). I need a new one, but it has been sold out in my size for a long time. Please offer it again in the ultrafine merino. Thank you.

Lovely lines; an open question
The cardigan has lovely lines and looks great with the matching tank top. It is a lighter-weight merino than my previous EF sweater in this style, which I loved only slightly less than some moths did, alas. The lighter weight makes me wonder how warm it will be and therefore whether I'll get as much use out of it as I did the earlier version - hence, four rather than five stars.

Super soft; forgiving to my figure. But pills much
First, I will say that I wear this sweater in one of three differentcolors at least three days a week throughout the winter months, so obviously, I do love it! I have it in a sort of wine color, a soft sort of dusty, mid range
pink color, as well as black, and it is indeed, blissfully soft.
I find it very flattering for my pear-shaped figure at my petite height. It just covers to the bottom of my derrier and hides quite a few sins with its relatively unstructured shape, and yet it has a nice drape. Like a lot of cashmere at this weight, it feels cozy and warm without being suffocatingly hot around the house or under a coat, so I find it a go-to for me, at many times, and many days a week!
Length-wise
At my 5’ 1/2” height, (and currently sadly overweight body-weight, lol), the size XL just covers to the bottom of my derrière and crotch, and because it is loose fitting and roomy, it hides quite a few sins with its relatively unstructured shape, and yet it has a nice drape.
That said, it pills excessively, I had this sweater also about two years back, and I must say that, by taking it to the dry cleaner and asking them to gently de-pill it for me, after two seasons the fabric itself took on an almost marbleized burn-out sort of luck, I suppose, from losing too much of the fabric.
I bought the sweater Abuja this year (yes, I’m three colors, cause it’s so cozy and soft!) but even after perhaps two wearings with my new ones this year, there were excessive little balls of pilling —all up and down the sides, and along the arms — and at the extremely high price of this sweater, it feels a bit wrong that it would suffer this phenomenon?
That said, I can’t stop wearing it because it is so soft and comfortable… and on a winter morning, pulling this on over jeans or even my leggings, just feels lovely. And on a Friday night, I can dress it up with some nice jewelry, nice pants ans boots, and it can be dressed up! Mostly, I just wear it as a wonderful, cozy hug in my every day life at home and about town. It is bad about the pilling at this bank-breaking price…I suppose one must carefully maintain it !

Disappointing
Nice fabric, good potential for multi season wear. Shape is much too straight to be described as an easy fit; however. Slits on the sides are surely cheaper to fabricate but aren’t the same quality as the “narrow at the shoulder wider at the hem” style of years past.. the slits cause the sweater to pull and bunch across the back. Sloppy looking and not worth the price, I’m afraid.
