Versatile!
I love this sweater. I wore it layered with a EF white tank. It light but, provides the right amount of warmth. I ordered the expresso which is a really nice brown. Also, depending on accessories, it can be dressed up too. In fact, I want to buy another one!

Perfect fall sweater.
This wool is soooooooft and lightweight, but it's warm enough (for me) to wear with just an undershirt and a scarf on sunny days above freezing. It's boxy but not bulky and layers smoothly under jackets. Add a string of pearls and it dresses up enough for the office or dinner. I have one in each color!

Utterly classic!

Beautiful Quality Sweater - Buy 1+ size smaller
Wonderful wool - light weight and very comfortable! I bought 4 colors, knowing they would all be beautiful 'neutrals'. I am not happy with the sizing though. I bought them all in size P/S, knowing they were a boxy fit - which I have purchased many times over the years. That size is now way 'generous', on my ordinary 130 lb (5’2”) frame. At this point, I'm not willing to spend the time to see what next best size is available and do the return thing (though EF has always been efficient and easy re:returns). I did wash one in warm water and it shrunk enough that with stretching out and drying flat should be fine. But even that takes some work and only cold wash is recommended by EF. SUMMARY: great sweater quality; sizing WAY generous.

Beautiful and Comfortable
I was reluctant to try this sweater. My luck with EF box tops is hit or miss, but this is a hit. I am 5’6 and 154 lbs. The hem hits me just above my hip, so it is not too cropped. The “box” seems to be a straight square without abundant extra fabric. The sleeves fit well and hit an my wrist.
The Barley color is beautiful. I avoid warm colors, but this has enough grey to allow me to cheat to cool, especially when combined with other items.
The sweater works on its own, but is fine enough to be a layering piece.

I bought several colors, love every one and will enjoy your years. I like the drop shoulder so I can get a size large and not worry about shoulders fitting my small upper frame.

Beautiful, cozy, yet lightweight.
Several of my reviews have bemoaned the excessive number of boxy sweaters and tops EF has offered in the past year. One respondent indirectly accused me of fat shaming. My plea comes from a different place. I simply have too many of these and would like some variation. Furthermore, there seems little consistency in the gradations between loose-fitting, boxy, and square. Some tops fit and drape well; others just provide infinite material. This sweater looks fine on my 5'3" 113 lb body. It falls nicely without looking as if I have borrowed it from a bigger person. Colors are rich and easy to wardrobe. I bought two. But that's as much boxy as my winter wardrobe will require.

What’s not to like!
Ordered the blue and it is soft and drapes beautifully, not tight or fitted and definitely not scratchy. It did not come in a petite size which I wear so had to order a reg small. It is a perfect length for me even tho it is cropped. Not sure how it fits on a taller person but for petites it is just right.

I love merino so as soon as I saw this was a box top, I ordered the blue color. Totally happy with the fit and size (small, my regular size). Please make more colors.
