Forgiving!
This dress is my go-to for comfort and the ability to dress it up or down. I am 5’5” And although I usually buy either small or medium size in Eileen Fisher, I bought this in a medium because I’m hippy. It hits right above my kneecap which is perfect for me. I do not find that the sleeves gap. It’s also got just the right amount of fabric through the middle so that my curvy body doesn’t “bulge” in any area. I get compliments all the time about how flattering I look when I wear this dress! So, although I did not have any of the problems that some of the other reviewer’s stated about the dress fitting awkwardly I have noticed a change in quality control over the past several years.

Jury's still out
The jury is still out on this purchase. While the dress doesn't cling anywhere it's also not exceptionally flattering--it's as if there's a little too much volume to the cut. I've worn it once and will probably pull it out over the summer, but I didn't fall in love.

appears to be a manufacturing problem
I bought this as well as the gray version of it in hopes they would by my go-to summer dresses. I was excited when I put it on. Lovely fabric and super comfortable. Nice length. But then I looked in the mirror. It gapped above the armpit. But only on the right side. I thought his was odd since I've never had this problem before and am not aware of any physical unevenness on the right side of my body. No amount of adjusting made the gap go away. So I tried on the gray version of the dress hoping that it was just a one time thing, but I had the same problem. Except the gap was on the left side. Sending them both back.

Dress is way above knees so unless you want a really short dress, I’d wear over leggings or slim leg pants.

Perfect everyday staple!
This dress is going to be my go-to as soon as warmer weather arrives! It is easy, comfortable, flattering, and I know that this fabric is going to wash well and keep its shape/color/finish for a long time. Excellent value for a piece that I know I will wear for years.
