Bought these last year in black. Happy to have added slate this year but unfortunately missed out on the cassis. EF, how about adding midnight and khaki to the collection next year?

Comfortable shorts
Comfortable fabric, but a bit tight. Would work well for me as gym shorts, but I was looking for something dressier for the price so I returned them.

Large, heavy, OK, but not a clear winner
Shorts are larger than expected. Surprising, because I can usually easily predict my EF size. (Wish I could exchange, but there's nothing left in a smaller size.) Fabric is quite heavy. If they fit, I'd say they're OK, but not a clear winner

The BEST! I bought 4!!!!
Couldn't be happier with these shorts. Just what I needed to both garden in as well as to dress up a tunic. I actually bought four pairs. One gray for variety. Two black in a loose fit for everyday and one pair of black in a tighter fit for tunics!!!

love them! these shorts fit really well and are very flattering. They don't have a lot of bulk and the leg is not too full. They look cute with a tee shirt and with a casual linen shirt....easy to wear....easy to style.

Best shorts ever
I see why these sell out so fast, they truly are the best shorts ever. True to size. I can go from bike riding, errands, lounging around then out to dinner. They’re structured enough to look polished and don’t wrinkle but comfy enough to travel or watch tv. Please make more black and add midnight. The grey will show sweat (but dries) and the cassis reminds me of fall/winter since I have a lot of ef in that color in my cool weather wardrobe.

Best shorts ever!
Whoever designed these, needs to get a raise! I have 3 Black, and 2 each of the other colors. They are so flattering and comfortable! Slim leg, (without being tight & they are true to size), great length, (I am 5'5", and they come to just above the knee), lightweight, and wrinkle free, (perfect for traveling). If you had ten more colors, I would buy them all. For next year, please produce these in White & Midnight?? Loving EF this year!

Cute shorts but fit is off
The shorts have a lot of good points however the waist is too large. I’m going to keep them as I need some dress shorts. Sadly this is probably my last EF purchase as the sizing is not good for a small person. It’s definitely changed. I’ve purchased many pieces in the past and actually just tried on some of the older pieces and they definitely fit differently. I’m 5’3” and 110 lbs and purchased the xxs. I have written about the inconsistent sizing in the past and nothing has changed.

Buy two pair!
I haven’t worn shorts in years but these looked comfortable because of the elastic waist and the length so I purchased them. The fabric is wonderfully soft and they have pockets! I loved them so much that I immediately bought a second paid as soon as I tried on the first pair.

Perfect shorts!
Absolutely love these shorts. Perfect length, ( cover bilateral total knee replacements ), perfect material, perfect comfort. And they look very nice too boot. Love EF cottons. Have 3 pair grey; 4 pair black. Now waiting for some nice lengthy tops, 100% cotton. Total comfort. Summer it’s got to be cotton!

Shorts are perfect ...
But for the color. I ordered Cassis because I didn't want gray. Maroon and gray seem like winter colors, definitely not summer. But the shorts are soft, comfortable and flattering. They pull on. There is no scratchy label. Those are 5-star qualities.

My favorite shorts

So Comfy!
I bought these several months ago and they were back ordered then. I was so excited after the wait that they were so comfy and held their shape so well.!!! I bought 2 pair. The fit, the length, the pockets, the fabric, EVERYTHING is great! I was so excited they were back. But........my size is already sold out, and there are no new colors. Come on EF! When you have a clear winner, wouldn’t it make sense to make them more available???

love the fabric-so soft (unlike crepe which is scratchy)and better than hemp-or linen which wrinkles-perfect length-very comfortable and lightweight for summer-full elastic waist-no buttons and zipper a big plus--plus pockets! wish they offered it in pure WHITE too---- full length version -slouchy average ankle length opening-not slim ankle-would be perfect too-like slouchy $138 pant but wider but not too wide ankle opening-I have purchased pant like that few years ago-lastly love no tie waist-don't like the extra bulkiness
