low rise, slim fitting
This is not your usual pair of EF jeans -- they have a lower rise, run on the smaller side of sizing, though are comfortable even though slim fitting. If the lower rise is not for you, then I don't recommend them. I have numerous colors and styles of stretch crepe EF pants and this was a departure for me. It's a more "youthful" but at the same time, classic look, which I wanted when I head out for a dinner in the summer. It gives my wardrobe some versatility, too. And you know how some tops just look that much better with a pair of slim pants -- these are my go-to for that.

Perfect Jeans in a True White
I liked these jeans so much that I bought another pair. The white is a True White and the excellent quality is what you would expect from Eileen Fisher. Not too thick but definitely not see-thru

Lovely warm weather basic!
I actually like these jeans a lot, but I can see that they might not suit everyone. First of all, the rise is on the low side, which is fine if, like me, you have a very short torso relative to your leg length or you simply prefer a low rise. Second, the fabric is less substantial than a traditional denim material, which makes these jeans well suited to warm weather wear but if you live somewhere that is cold for much of the year you might not get enough wear out of these jeans to make them worth the purchase price. I should note that these jeans are in no way see-through. At least, they are fine if you choose your underwear sensibly. If you only wear black lingerie you could have an issue, but I haven't put it to the test so it might be fine :) On sizing, I found that these jeans ran more true to size than most Eileen Fisher garments. They do stretch with wear, but not excessively so in my opinion.

Great Summertime Pants
Rarely wear white but am so glad I bought these as NYC summers are hot. Perfect for weekends, casual work days, just hanging out. Love the material. Bought the 8 but could have gotten the 6. Would definitely buy again!

The jeans were neither "here nor there." I didn't think they had any "oomph," plus the 8 was too big. My other pairs of size 8 EF jeans fit. In all fairness, I do wear both a 6 and an 8 and can't always tell what size to buy without trying the item on. A 6 may have fit, but I returned the jeans.

Almost there
I ordered two sizes and will keep the smaller ones. They stretch, but not terribly. I like the fabric and style.
Two complaints: 1. very low rise - hardly make it to my high hip and I am only 5' 3.5" with a straight figure. Makes them slightly uncomfortable. Forget about wearing a belt. Haven't checked the fit in the back when I sit. Hope is doesn't gape.
2. Tiny pockets. I have a big issue with small pockets that appear to be decorative, not useful. Women like to carry things in their pockets, just as men do. Please make them long enough to fit my whole hand, not just the fingers. Can't fit in a small change purse, not sure about even loose change, don't even think about a cell phone! What is the point of having them if they don't function? They are just a tease. Please increase the length, please.

Great Ankle Jeans - with A LOT of Stretch
Based on reviews on this site, I bought a pair of these jeans to take on vacation with me in a size smaller than I normally wear. The fabric is great, but boy they stretch. I am going to buy an even smaller size - so two sizes down - and see if that does the trick.

system pieces should have consistent sizing
The jeans arrived with a strong chemical smell. I own other System jeans so I wrongly thought I should buy the same size in these white jeans. The fit was terrible and the smell never left even after letting them air out. I sent them back.

The Perfect Summer Jean
I loved this jean. I traveled with it to a warm climate and was able to wear it both during the day and evening. I could dress up the look depending upon which Eileen Fisher top I was wearing. I love the fabric and the fit. the length is perfect.

Too low waisted for me
When I read the description of these jeans, I don’t recall a mention that these were pants that had a very low rise. I received them but had to return them. I dislike having the waist of my pants hit me somewhere between my waist and my hips. So uncomfortable.

Jean fabric stretches to the point of falling off. Recommend a belt if customer plans to wear for longer than 10 minutes.
I understand the challenges of online clothing purchases that actually fit, but a customer should be able to rely on basic quality of fabrics that are offered by EF. The fabric of this jean style may fit in the first 5 minutes, but after that it starts stretching with every step, bending and sitting position to the point that you can remove the pants without using the button or zipper.

My summer jeans arrived today!
Eileen’s Team has created the perfect jean. The rise is the key and 8.75” is the most comfortable rise on any lady. The jeans hold there shape wear after wear. The fabric content is the reason for the softest white denim. This is the only jean for me.

Perfect white jeans !
I am Petite and have difficulty finding pants/ jeans to fit my body. I was pleasantly surprised when I received these jeans yesterday ! The material is very soft, the fit is perfect - they are not ankle length on me , but with a quick turn of the hem that is resolved, the material is not see through as a lot of white pants are and are a good weight. I can't say enough about these jeans! LOVE !!

Sizing way off!!
I love the style but I ordered two sizes, an 8 and a 10, and I swear there wasn't any difference. So I returned both, ordered a 12 and it is too big! I don't know what I'll do at this point............try another 10? I really want white denim and this is the style but why is the size so far off?

Great for us tall women
This is not only high quality (=high cotton content) denim, but also longer. I’m 5”11” and they actually approach my ankles! Because these are white, they’ll be summer/warm winter vacation anyway.
Great slim-not-skinny fit so they skim fall elegantly.

The grow while you're wearing them
I had a pair of similar jeans several years ago and finally gave up on them because they "grow" (in the butt and knees) while wearing them. Seems this new style has the exactly same issue (though, at first wear, not as bad). I bought this pair just yesterday at a local shop and when I got home and put them on for 2 hours, they became totally unwearable. What was once sleek became slouchy. I'm going to exchange these for a smaller size and see if that helps. However, it may not because the waist stays the same size. You'd think that jeans costing nearly $200 would be better.

Slim ankle jeans
These were called straight jeans on-line. They are more like ankle jeans, with a boyfriend fit below the waist and tapering to the ankle, not stayimg straight all the way down.
