- Bo Bay is 5'9" and wears a size S in Delphine, which measures 29 inches in front and 30 inches in back. Size PS measures 27 inches in front and 28 inches in back. Size 1X measures 31 1/2 inches in front and 32 1/2 inches in back.

Tight upper torso yet puffs out hugely mid back
I feel that this top is strangely shaped because I am a petite, at 5’ 1” and always appreciate that Eiileen Fisher carries petites, but the upper torso in PL (largest Petite offered, I wish they’d offer XLP for my bust)…. Is way too tight in my shoulders, biceps and across bust, however, the upper back area (at approx shoulder blade height) puffs way out with central pleats and lots of puffy fabric, so it’s tight in areas and way puffed out in others. Moving downward: oddly after the puffed out mid-back, the hips are a tad tight and hem is too high… and the steeply curved hem curves all the way up to upper hip at the aides — making it even shorter hem on sides.
If I am going to wear what appears on models to be designed aa.breezy coastal-styled oversized puffy-backed poplin blouse, then (as I think would appertain to that look), naturally I want it to cover my derrière and hit at about mid hip or lower hip, (no higher),
In sum, the upper torso is too tight and small, mid-back toooo puffed out like a giant tumor almost (for a lady with petite height), then in relation that that the hips a bit narrow (in relation to mid-back puff-out area), and hem too high.
On a lark, I am going to exchange for a regular L but as is often the case, I fear it will be way too “long” in upper torso proportions (because the vertical proportions of upper torso are already a bit too long between shoulder seam and bust), but I am going to “try” that BECAUSE maybe the company botched the proportions for the petite version?, and because
I do love the fabric and the little pale blue pinstripes!! And the tempting wonderful way it looks on the model on the website and email marketing that came into my inbox! SO, If your body fits this blouse in its petite or regular misses sizing you may LOVE it, I want it to work! ( It is clearly made for a different body than me?
(Or maybe it’s just me… and it’s just not meant for a shorter 5’ 1”-ish pear-shape gal with a large bust!)

Strange cut and fit
EF sizing is all over the place. PS used to be my reliable fit. This blouse, though, was too narrow in the shoulders, and the arm holes were too tight. The blouse ballooned out from the waist on down with too much fabric.

100% cotton indeed
I ordered the black/white in my usual petite-medium size - it fit as expected. I sure appreciate petite-sizing and cotton fabrics!
After washing and air-drying, IMO, it will need to be ironed. Also, please note that the bottom hem (and other areas) have a dark colored thread - it immediately caught my eye.
