Great pants but attract lint

Broken Zipper and Sizing Problem
Since I live nowhere near an EF store and department stores never carry much in XXS or XS, I flew to Minneapolis and spent a day stocking up on EF clothes for Fall. Spent a bundle. Needed a great pair of EF soft flannel lantern pants in black to coordinate with several purchases. The store found them available online, so based on sizes in other pants I was trying on in the store, I ordered the XXS. Upon arrival they are so small I can't even zip them. So I reorder in XS and S. Upon arrival the XS fits like a charm, BUT the zipper in the pants is frayed and catches when you try to zip. (Took me 20 minutes to get out of the pants!). Of course, by now all XS sizes are sold out. So now I am faced with a new bill to have the zipper replaced by a tailor or hoping maybe just maybe something similar will surface in future Fall offerings. EF quality (e.g. broken zippers, fabric that snags, pills, looks used after a few light wears) and inconsistent sloppy sizing continues to be an issue but I keep returning because very few other designers make the kind of look that I want at my age.

Funky and soft
Wasn’t sure about these. And I’m so glad I bought them. I’m headed to the Christmas Markets in Prague this winter and wanted something that might do. These are so lovely, I hope that I can wear them in Phoenix.

Not great
I thought these had elastic waist for some reason. They are not. They have a side zipper. My mistake for not reading the description fully, I just assumed they were elastic waist. That is one thing I come to expect from EF - an elastic waist, which just makes things so much easier. I bought a similar pair from Nordstrom that had elastic waist, so I just assumed… These are going back. Just not east enough to wear on a regular basis.

Soft wool flannel lantern pant
I just received these pants in the mail today, tried them on and had to post a review. The soft wool flannel material is in a word scrumptious, and I know they will be warm this winter. I got them on sale, and had an extra birthday gift, so the value couldn't be beat. This is my first pair of lantern pants, and I know I'll be getting more. I'm 5'6" so the pant legs fit me lower than on the model, more like ankle length, which I love. The zip up waist line fits like it was made for me, and I just love how the pants gently widen, and then taper more towards the ankle! Love them, and can't wait to wear them this winter.

pleats?
I was excited to see the lantern pant offered in wool, it has become a favorite summer linen stye for me and now being able to enjoy it in the colder months. Ordered it from Nordstrom anniversary sale and loved the feel of it...and that's about it. Why did you change a perfectly beautiful style by adding pleats which is not at all flattering to anyone with a bit of a tummy??? I hope this is not a permanent change to the lantern pant because I know there are other women who will be greatly disappointed.

Have always wanted the Lantern Pant!
So beautifully made, & such soft wool! These fit perfectly. I almost didn't keep them because the waist is a little too snug for me, but they're much too cool not to squeeze into once in a while, to look great.

Not for those of us with hips
Wonderful fabric and fantastic pants, but the pockets ruined everything for me. They gaped open and I suspect I'd have to buy two sizes larger than I normally wear to remedy that, which would mean hello baggy too wide legs and a totally too big waist. Would love to see pants in this style with those great lantern legs and and in the same soft yummy fabric, but made with those of us who have hips in mind. No slash pockets please!

Not my style
I wanted to like these pants, but they simply do not fit my body. Even with the correct waist size (small), I felt like I looked like a clown in them. They might work for women with straight hips but not for women who are curvy. Returned.

Great moon color I wanted so much to like as it matched my existing EF sweater, waist fitted with side zipper was tidy, pockets laid flat, but I am too short to have balloon type legs Very chunky looking unless you have the long legs to show off. My mistake and my loss of birthday promotion.

Simple & Timeless
I love everything about these pants. The lantern cut is timeless, the fit is perfect, the pockets lay flat, and the fabric is soft. I am easily getting 3 seasons from them. In between dry cleaning I spray them with a mist of water and dry them in the dryer for 10 minutes hang and they are perfect. I bought 2 colors that will last in my timeless EF wardrobe for years to come.

The best pants EVER
I had my eye on these for months. Finally, a sale, plus $50 off for my birthday. I got them in black in my usual size, M. They are gorgeous. They look great with my Blondo Chelsea boots. Way to elevate my all black look!

Lovely color; great fabric, but did not fit.
I loved the color and fabric; I have an EF dress of the same color/fabric. So I was eager to purchase these lantern pants. However, the side-zipping waist just did not work--too tight and no give. An elastic waist would have made all the difference. I had to return the pants.
