Awful
Was hoping this would be a good summer option but it is a sheer cheap silk and looks like a nightshirt. Would not want to sleep in it let alone wear it in public.

Better for taller people
I am 5'3ish and 110 pounds and the XXS fit fine in terms of width but was definitely too long. It is still baggy in terms of width, but for me it was still a wearable bagginess that didn't look too weird/big. Overall I didn't find it particularly see, through, but would probably wear something underneath just to be safe. I really liked the check print and despite being too long, decided to keep this dress since I got it on sale. I plan on hemming it later on. Giving this a 3 star because I think the sizing is way off.

Good quality but too see through and runs huge
Good quality silk, slightly transparent. I would need a slip and a belt to make this work in a professional environmnent. My usual EF size is Xs, I was swimming in this. I was sad to return. EF-- Please make this in a thicker fabric with a hint of shape so we don't need layers underneath and accessories to complete the outfit.

Needs a belt and a slip to look polished. Otherwise it looks like a nightdress.

Airy and lightweight
The lightweight habutai silk is beautiful, and the woven windowpane pattern is delightful. The tiny shell buttons glisten against the soft slightly crisp silk. The collar and cuffs are finely detailed. The fabric is just slightly transparent. Unfortunately, the long straight style wasn't graceful on me and looked shapeless. I also ordered the "Silk Crepe De Chine Striped Swing Shirt," which was the perfect shape for me, and I thought the check shirtdress would be similar, but it wasn't and I was very disappointed.
Perhaps the dress would have been happier with me if the color had been reversed: a fine white windowpane check on black silk...? ... I returned the dress. I looked at the brown shipping box and said goodbye...I almost wanted to unpack it again and give it another chance, but...

Poor Quality Poor Fit
This is just unfortunate. It says silk, but it feels like rough cotton. The checks are much more noticeable than in the photo. It was not at all flowy like you’d expect/hope silk would be. I tried it on for 10 seconds before packing it back up to return.
