Wonderful, lightweight, summer top.
I love this piece, especially because it covers my wider parts, but it is not overwhelming, as I am petite. The one drawback was that it arrived in a padded envelope, not a box, and thus it was balled up and a wrinkled mess.

Silk Georgette Crepe Long Shell
Fabulous, versatile garment. It packs down to almost nothing and drys overnight after hand wash. Not a week goes buy that I don't wear one of these as a longer layer under a top. I have worn them with pearls to go to a play and once I wore it all day to do yard work on a hot day when I had only warm tops with me. They are such an important part of my wardrobe that I ordered from the UK and paid ridiculous shipping to own a navy blue one. (I couldn't find a navy anywhere else). I own 7 of them in 5 colors.

Love EF Silk Tunics!
I love EF silk tunics -- the sizing changes year to year, so this year, the small fit better than the XS. The only reason for four stars is that the color (I usually love plum or merlot) is a bit dark and brownish. I'm keeping it though because I can offset the dark color with a scarf. I'd love this tunic in a true burgundy or wine color.

Perfect shell, pretty color
I’m 5’4” 140 and short waisted. The petite medium fits perfectly. Lovely fabric skims over “bumps”. Washed on delicate, dried on very low.

Silk georgette crepe long shell
The material and the color are beautiful. The longer length is perfect. It runs 1 to 1 1/2 size larger. I ordered a 2x, sent it back for a 1x and it is still pretty roomy.

Lovely Fall Staple
The Silk Georgette Crepe Long Shell in Dark Brownstone has the quality and fit as expected from previous Eileen Fisher silk shell purchases. The length, at nearly 28 inches in front and 30 in back, works on my long torso. (The Ultra Fine Merino Shell was too short and had to be returned.) I am layering this shell with the Merino Wool Crew Neck Tunic and the Merino Pencil Skirt in Dark Brownstone. I also enjoy it with an older EF black ribbed cardigan over the same skirt. It pairs well with a 2017 EF cashmere box top in Clove over jeans or black slacks. This shell is a lovely warm, fall color tone perfect for my complexion. However, as other reviews note, it does not coordinate with all of EF Brownstone items. As a result I did not purchase the cardigan. Regardless I am getting a lot of wear from this item and as usual, appreciate that it is washable silk. For reference I am 5'9", 160-ish, 36B. Small fits as expected.

This long silk shell is the perfect top with my washable crepe skinny pants in matching colors. Together they create a slim column of yummy color which I complete with a complimentary sweater, top or tunic. Stylish, comfortable and easy to accessorize.

Not the "dark brownstone" of the crepe pants
This review is about the color of this item, not the quality (which is the same as usual).
I buy the crepe long shell of every color, every year. I usually like buying the matching pants and/or cardigan as well. This year the brownstone of the merino cardigan is a completely different color than the shell (I was expecting it to be lighter, but with the same undertone...nope) and the shell is a different color from the same "dark brownstone" of the crepe pants (close, but different enough to look terrible together).
Please respect your faithful customers. I expect to be able to mix and match items of the same color in EF item, but in this case I got three items that simply don't match anything else.

A wonderful easy layering piece that skims the body , has a flattering neckline and washes beautifully. I own 3 and they are great for both Summer and Winter. I also have the matching culottes——easy, cool and still put together in the Summer heat.

Love this effortless shell that can be worn both casually and dressed up. And love the dark berry color that pairs so well with white or black (or anything for that matter). Would be great to see more dark berry or dark jewel tones in tunics or shells :)

Good, if unexciting addition to wardrobe
I bought this as a functional addition to my wardrobe and it hasn't disappointed. It's comfortable, easy to take care of, and easy to layer. It is a bit too long, honestly, especially in the back. This is not an issue when I leave it out but when I tuck it in there is a lot of fabric. I wish EF would make a length between the cropped shell and this length.

Flows nicely
I enjoy wearing this tunic-length shell. The quality is great, and the flow of the fabric is beautiful. It's not a favorite, though. As with many EF tops, I wish it were not cut with such a straight fit. Curves are a good thing -- I wear other brands when I want to show curves, but I wish EF cuts showed them more. EF quality is better and lasts longer, but I can't bring myself to buy a lot of EF tops because of the boxy cut issue.

Lovely dressy shell but runs small on me
I ordered this in grey and I have one in Black. This is top is flattering and the fabric is lovely. Unfortunately, and I knew this because I have one in black, I have to size up in this shell. It was on sale and I ordered a medium, my regular size, rather than a large. I had to return and unfortunately, there were no more in a large. My bad. I love the black shell. It will be a staple in my wardrobe for a long time.

Beautiful and elegant
This shell is yet another color in the style and fabric that I find so versatile for layering (I now have it in seven colors!) This color is an interesting deep chestnut red, flattering and elegant. I think it well worth the price.
