A Truly Special Piece for Special Occasions
This is truly a special piece for special occasions. I’ve waited to review because it is a pricey piece even at the sale price I purchased it at. I bought it well ahead of a family wedding to which planned to wear it, not wanting to write about it until I’d worn it for the occasion. The wedding was yesterday, and here I am reviewing. The jacket was worthy of the dressy event, and I look forward to wearing it again when I bring it to England on an autumn trip. For this first wearing I styled the jacket over a simple sleeveless black EF dress made of a lovely stretchy knit with a long asymmetrical hem. I’ve had the dress for years and it’s always a winner. The jacket flows perfectly over the dress. The deep side slits of the jacket are so graceful and perfect for dancing. I can’t remember the color name, but it is a rich deep sea-like blue, not a simple navy but rather an intriguing and flattering quiet color with real depth. The length in petite over the petite midi high/low hem length dress worked gracefully. The silk fabric, cut, and construction of this jacket are exactly right, as is the sleeve length. My only caveat is that the jacket has absolutely no internal structure. It’s a wonderfully flowing garment, but the collar is not high; mine definitely is more flat, like a small lapel, so it works over any simple collarless dress or top. If available again on sale, I would probably buy it in another color because it is definitely a keeper like all the best EF pieces.

Beautiful jacket for summer
Beautiful summer weight jacket with just the right amount of coverage. The jacket accentuates the other clothes because of the natural movement of the garment. Beautiful!

It’s good layer.
I bought it in discount, which I think had a reasonable price for this piece. It’s a good layer to put on when going out for dinner or wedding at night in summer. I don’t quite like the collar design. I prefer the simplicity. The simple V shape would be much better. Anyway, I kept it.

Sheer Silk Georgette High Collar Jacket
I fell in love with this jacket when EF first introduced it, but I thought the price was too high (for me) for an “occasions” jacket. Although, I kept admiring it!
To my delight, it went on sale and my size XS was STILL available!
It’s exactly what I expected AND more! A lovely addition to dress up or down with just enough arm & neck coverage while still being elegant!

Lovely touch to add to a sleeveless top and slacks
Lovely. The fabric is very thin and delicate, so I suspect this garment will not hold up well. But it's flowy and lovely so if it's on sale I'd say you'll enjoy wearing it over sleeveless top and slacks.

Elation and Disappointment
The color and style were perfect. Unfortunately, the silk was just too elet\trfied and difficult to keep in place. I would love to have a similar item that is less so if you come up with one. Also, a definite collar would be an enhancement.
