        Beautiful Fabric, Simple Styling
This is the second coat of this style I ordered. Last year I purchased the coat in Nocturne, and this year in the plum color. Love both of them! The plum is not quite as vibrant as the color my monitor picks up from the website, but still it is a beautiful color and the fit of the coat is excellent and true to size descriptions.

Warm and so much better than a puffer
I had an Eileen alpaca coat from nearly 10 years ago and I loved it--it was lightweight and unlined and was the perfect weight for downtown Chicago. Then I retired, moved to the country, lost weight, went from a 1x to a S/M and I've been waiting to find the right replacement. I bought this coat in a PM and the sheared texture is lovely. It's a bit heavier because it's lined, but that's okay--it gets cold in Minnesota, and I prefer not to wear a puffer unless I have to. I should probably have gotten a S or a PS, but this one will have room for a sweater. So glad that I won't have to go the winter without my Eileen coat.

        Love at First Try-on
I bought this in Autumn of 2022. I broke my rule of waiting for the sale. It's well cut and the petite extra small is easy to wear over a winter sweater. I am hoping for a boiled wool coat with buttons or snaps for Autumn of 2023.

        Elegant light warmth.
Rich deep red color has an elegant look and is a beautiful alternative to black. This coat is light in weight, and surprisingly warm.

        A timeless classic!
Such a lovely coat! It has a sumptuous feel and the beautiful deep purple color looks so polished and refined! Another classic piece from Eileen Fisher that will last a lifetime!

        Definitely a purple coat
I have a similar coat in black, and was happy to see this one in cassis last fall. I tried it on in a store and the color was really a knockout— a pruney brown that made my white hair sparkle. When it went on sale this spring, I grabbed it. Maybe the light in the store was very different, but this coat is way more on the purple side. Various EF items in cassis can vary greatly in tone, but I would call this closer to grape. The lining is cassis. A great coat anyway.

A little too heavy for SoCal
I love my EF high collar jacket but this coat was a little too high collar and too heavy. Reviews said that it was a light coat, but sadly I found it too heavy for Southern California spring.

        Material and sizing
It’s beautiful and I love it. However, I prefer the wool/alpaca blend lean more towards the alpaca. I own another coat that is made with more alpaca and it is luxuriously softer. It’s still a nice addition to my wardrobe. Also the sizing was a bit larger than my other coat. I bought the xxs. Probably needed the xxxs, if you made it…😉
