My new favorite coat. Dress it up for the theater or wear it with jeans and it’s perfect. Not too heavy, but no light weight either. I do suggest sizing down unless you wear multiple layers.

I sized down, thanks to the reviews. I tried the petite because the sleeves were long on me, but the PP was identical to the XXS: I even measured the sleeve length to verify. So if you are looking for one size and the other is in stock: doesn't matter. The ivy is almost a green-black, with a beautiful depth; the material has more wool than alpaca but is soft and warm. As comfy as a bathrobe but makes me feel well dressed. Exactly why I like Eileen Fisher. I

Love, love this coat
I love, love this coat. The color is gorgeous!!! Unlike other people's reviews, I have no problem with the snaps. Bottom line as with all my Eileen Fisher clothes I just feel good wearing them. The quality and workmanship is evident.

The coat is beautiful! I have 2 "older" Alpaca coats and just needed a new one for a fresher look - tho the others will still remain in the closet!!
My only "con" is that I am a size 10/12 and the medium was HUGE on me.... reordered the Small and its perfect!

Birthday present to myself
I love the sweet plum color -drawn to it when passing it on an escalator - and splurged. I feel very elegant in this (has a vintage feel and look.) The pockets are nice and roomy and the closures work well. The only problem is today I put my keys in my pocket end panicked that they were gone—a surprising has developed and they fell down inside the coat. I rescued them easily ( back up through the hole) but wanted to mention this because as much as I love this coat I have not worn it a lot. I will ask the tailor to fix it and be on my merry way.

Warm and elegant
There was only one of these coats in the Berkeley store, and it was a Petite Medium instead of my usual EF Small. But I was drawn to the rich Auburn color, the versatile collar (wear it up or down), and the soft, warm wool-alpaca blend, so I tried it on anyway. Surprise: It fit perfectly, and the sleeves weren't too short. (I'm 5'8".) Sold! (At half the original price, an extra plus.) Moral: Ignore the size on the tag and experiment. P.S. Unlike another reviewer, I prefer the snap closure—easier to fasten and unfasten with cold hands.

Out of US ordering a problem
Find ordering from a country out of US a problem.
Window pops over saying " SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF US ? "
and a lovely list of countries comes up , but trying to get the area saying " country: United States on the SHIP TO INFORMATION window to change is impossible.
Very frustrating to say the least.

It's a lovely mid-weight coat. It runs large. I wear a large in Eileen Fisher tops and sweaters. I had to return the large I originally purchased and exchanged it for a medium. The medium is still comfortably roomy.
