quite possibly very beautiful
I gave these pants 5 stars because I have another pair of Eileen Fisher linen pants in the same puckered fabric (which I absolutely love!), and other Eileen Fisher pants in different linen fabrics, and all of these linen pants are beautifully made and fit wonderfully. When I read the other reviews of this garment, I was convinced that the pants would be wonderful and I was so looking forward to receiving these wide-leg pants. However, the shipper lost the package at one of their package sorting hubs about 80 miles from my city and I never received the pants. I am so sad and I'm waiting for the problem to be resolved. Meanwhile, I have ordered another style of Eileen Fisher pants in the same puckered linen fabric and the same black checked color and look forward to receiving them, soon!
I have found that Eileen Fisher pants in size Large are a perfect fit for me and I especially like the ankle length pants because I have long legs for my height. For reference, I am about 5'6", about 156 pounds, hips about 43-44 inches, and an indeterminate waist circumference. I purchased several Eileen Fisher linen items this summer, and dreamed of floating down the sidewalk in light and breezy linen pants and tops, but for some odd reason, my area along the California coast has been cold and foggy nearly all summer -- too cold to comfortably wear linen. I'm waiting for a warm sunny bright day...

Great summer pants
Just as pictured and described. Lightweight, comfortable, and well constructed. The puckered texture seems to rumple less than other linen fabrications, but like all linen, it still has quite a bit of texture.

My Kind of Pant!
Ever since EF's puckered linen debuted several years ago, I've awaited the appearance of an ankle length, wide-leg pant. (Unless I missed out the first season.) Now that I have it, it's even better than I dared hope. Soft, loose, light, and breezy. Attractive, too; draws compliments. Perfect for summer days.

I love these pants for travel and all around use
I recently took these pants on a trip and they were so comfortable and wonderful on the plane. I was able to wash them and roll them in my suitcase and they travelled well. I hope they do them in the nocturne check pattern or seaweed.
