- Subtly curved through the leg, slightly tapered at the ankle. Fits the body with ease.
- 5'9" model in Black is wearing a size extra small. Petite model is 5'3" and wearing a size petite small.
- 1 1/2-inch elastic waistband, on-seam pockets.
- 11-inch rise; 27-inch inseam; 7-inch leg opening (size small). 10 1/2-inch rise; 25-inch inseam; 7-inch leg opening (size petite small).

Lantern Pant Love
Had read about the lantern pant for months and finally gave it a try. Love it! I’m 5’ 4” and slender, went with the PP and it’s a perfect fit. Pockets are great, silhouette is flattering, washes and dries well. More lantern pants in my future? Check.

So comfortable!
I absolutely love these pants. They are unbelievably comfortable and soft to wear. I can wear them around the house or going to the store or to the library. They are very casual but can be worn out of the house with a nice Eileen fisher shirt. I am very tired of tight fitting pants and enjoy these roomy casual pants. They wash beautifully in delicate cycle with cold water. I put them in the dryer for 5 to 10 minutes and then hang. I bought a small even though I am often size medium in some styles. They are still loose fitting, and I could have gone down another size. I highly recommend these pants if you are looking for a casual loose style. I like the lantern fit as it does taper toward the ankles.

Comfortable and versatile

These are great fitting lightweight pants, perfect for summer. Please continue to offer these in more colors!
Please also offer cropped tee shirts with short sleeves in co-ordinating colors and petite sizes.
The pants could be improved with the addition of a rear pocket for a phone.

Warm Summer and Flat Sandals
I'm only 5 ft, and have tried other brands of lantern pants that looked terrible on me.
These are cut just right for my body, and I like the weight of them, plus they have pockets.
I bought 3 more. They will be my go-to summer pant, and I can see them as super comfortable for yoga. They look best on me with a shorter top - no tunic lengths.

great pants, run large, wish they were longer
Fortunately I was able to try these on in the store for size (they only had the dusk, which seemed a brighter blue than on my monitor), so I could see that I needed a PP instead of my usual PS. I would have tried an XS or XXS for extra length--at 5'3" I'm right on the petite border, and these are shorter than the slightly-short "system easy pant" of a past year that these are replacing--but the rise fit in the PS and they are wonderfully comfortable as is. The pima cotton is smooth and the black true black, so they should be easier than regular cotton jersey to dress up a bit if desired. Also, the lantern shape and oversewn side seams make them look less like pajamas. Overall, a win.

My Favorites
I love these pants. They look good, are comfortable beyond belief, and washable. I love the fabric, its the perfect blend for me. I have them in white, green and yellow. although you show them as casual, with the right top they are suitable for almost any occasion.
Just a note: I'm 5'4" and they are ankle length of me which exactly what I want.
