Rated 4 out of 5 by MaryK from This Sweater Sheds I bought the light colored sweater. This sweater is soft, cozy and warm. It runs big. What none of the other reviews noted was that the sweater sheds. After wearing it with a black shirt and pants I looked like I owned a blonde cat. I hope that the shedding will stop as it is a otherwise a great piece of clothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Seaside from Scrumptious Sweater I just received my Peruvian Alpaca Loop Turtleneck sweater and I'm so happy to have found this sweater on sale! It is beautiful and I am delighted. I wasn't sure what to expect based on some of the reviews, so instead of my usual size XL (I could probably wear size L, but I like slightly oversized sweaters), I ordered size 1X (in black -- I am hopelessly attracted to beautiful black sweaters...). The particular hand knit sweater that I received fits me just like an EF size XL (I have a lot of EF sweaters in size XL...!). The sleeves reach and cover my wrists, the length is below my waist and reaches just below my hips. The width (loose) is perfect and slightly oversized (which I love!). The Alpaca wool yarn is lightweight and spun with a loopy, bumpy, beautiful texture, the knit is stretchy and somewhat loose -- not tight (which is perfect for the yarn). The sweater is elegant but looks great with jeans, or silk, or velvet. I am wearing it over a lightweight thin turtleneck, but it could be worn without anything underneath because the wool is so soft (like cashmere) and not itchy. The sweater is warm, so I hope to have a few days of winter remaining in coastal central California so I can enjoy it -- cold nights, cozy sweater... For size reference: 5' 7", 38DD, hips about 43".

I am 5’6”, ordered a size small and am exceedingly happy with my purchase. Alpaca yarn is oh so soft, light and warm. The Moon color has some cool and warm hues. I have the infinity scarf in this yarn, too. Both items are fabulous! Thank you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sandra G from Not basic length I go between XS and S in Eileen Fisher and ordered the S (black) to be safe. It's short on my 5'4" frame, which isn't really an issue. The photo of the black version is more accurate. Shorter sleeves, shorter length. It does not look at all like the "moon" photo. You'd have to go up two sizes to get that look. The sleeves end at my wrists - they do not cover the hands. I like it enough to keep it. Agree with others that this product description isn't accurate. I could easily have worn a medium in this. Boxy as described. No surprise there.

This is very cropped in the front and back, with longer sections on the side. It’s not flattering. The material is pretty. It’s very airy so you’ll need a layer underneath. I ordered my usual XXS and the section in the front was too cropped and looked odd.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jenny Wren from cozy short sweater that does not match description I bought this based on seeing it on Instagram and it's different than the one on the website model in the "moon" color. On her, the sweater is significantly longer and looks like it might have a high-low hem and the length in XS is listed as 25 1/2 inches, "basic length." My XS sweater is 20 inches long and looks shorter on my 5'3" frame than the one on the model, the sleeves are shorter (to my wrists--past hers), and the knit seems tighter. It's surprisingly not oversized for EF. The video of the model in the black sweater gives a good sense of its shape and swing: because it's a box top, it is quite wide at the bottom and has a bit of a bell-shape when on. Also, I have a linen sweater in the "moon" color which is a pale marled grey; this "moon" yarn has pale grey, cream, and beige twisted together. I'm pleased with this seater but it seems EF is running a photo and description that aren't current. It's a lovely knit and I like the short length--should be great for other petites.
