No linen shorts for me.
Ill fitting, very flimsy material. The shorts made my tummy look poochy and hung baggy around my bottom. Returned.

Summer Basics
I could live in these shorts in the hot weather. The drawstring and elastic waist plus the modest length are perfect for most casual summer needs. The linen shorts do not 'give' in the same way as Terry or other stretch fabrics so plan accordingly.

Too much of a good thing
As often happens, the style looks good on a tall and thin model. But a real life 5'3" "apple shaped" older woman should not be wearing these shorts. They are very full and visually add bulk to my less-than-svelt body. The quality is great, but the look is not. Add to this the fact that I found a trimmed down similar style for half the price and the result is that the EF shorts went back.

I REALLY like these shorts!
I sometimes need a medium in EF pants, so ordered these shorts in both small and medium. Both fit, but the small ones are a better. Still an easy fit, but a little more tailored looking. I love the almost-but-not-quite black Seaweed color.

Quality Linen
Very nice quality linen and ideal length for me. The cut is a straight fit so not a great fit for curves as the pockets don’t lay flat.
